Trump wants brownie points for backing off of the chaos he created in everything. In trump 1.0..putting kids in cages was horrendous...but when he released them via the courts, daughter Ivanka says, "thank you daddy!" ..talk about wanting to throw up....One does not get brownie points for reversing shit they create.

Why is everyone discussing the cost of retrofitting the plane, etc.? Why is no one saying that he cannot accept the plane because it states so in the Constitution. It should be "No Mr. President! You are not getting this gift of the plane because it is illegal". Again it looks like we are normalizing something that he is doing. So tired of all this BS and him getting away with so much. Thank God for the Meidas Touch!

Their approval is meaningless and BS. What Pam Bloni means is that the DOJ will not indict, try or convict him for taking possession of the Palace Jet.

Article I, Section 9, Clause 8:

No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

Summary: No President shall, without the Consent of CONGRESS, accept any $400M JET from any EMIR or PRINCE from QATAR.

That's what I understood, too, but the way that Bondi said it , it sounded like it was a done deal and when Johnson was asked about it, he said it wasn't his job.

Johnson is a spineless sickophant. 'Not my job': But that is ok in this mess. Congress has to act to give its consent. Congress not acting should mean it does not give consent.

I thought birthright citizenship was protected by one of the amendments to the Constitution? Therefore it would require a vote by congress to overturn this right..

Amendment 14, Section 1:

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

The first sentence is about how to be a citizen of the United States. The second expands the rights(from the first 10 amendments-Bill of Rights) given to citizens in the Constitution to the States.

Anne Miller. Any change to an Amendment has to be passed by a super majority of 2/3 vote. THEN, and only then, the change to the Amendment has to be ratified by 38 of states. This change in the 14th Amendment would be another Amendment, the 28th Amendment. I seriously doubt if this could occur within the Trump term. Witness how long the ERA Amendment has been in play. The ERA Amendment was originally written in 1972. So you can see, an Amendment to the Constitution could take forever; it cannot be changed by Executive Order.

I believe it requires a 2/3 vote to change the Constitution. Apparently that would be very difficult to accomplish.

They cannot overturn an amendment. It is part of the Constitution. But justices might try reinterpret and change its meaning. But they better not do that.

That is what they did with the decision about the Section 3 that allowed Dear Leader to for run office.

Why are the American's paying for it (His trips for personal gain). tRump has two loves in life. To get as rich as he possibly can and golf. I would love to see him golf, in a match, with one of the true golfers and not be able to cheat. He would go balistic because he lost. I suspect, that he wants to be the world's richest man and that is his goal. He didn't become president, to represent our country and do government business. He became president to use his position to rip off the American people and gain money from corruption. I hope he rots in hell.

Here is my alternative use of the Qatar 747-8:

If it stays with the government, then here is what to do with it:

1. Boeing is fitting two 747-8 to replace the current AF1s. Ready in 2027. Contract was signed for these two by Trump in his first term(one of his deals).

2. This Qatar 747-8 is flown to the Arizona Airplane Boneyard.

3. Inspected for espionage devices.

4. Use it for spare parts for the Boeing 747-8 AF1s.

5. Add it the boneyard tours. It would make for a great attraction.
