Will just echo what we wrote above: they are a longstanding institution often celebrated for its role in shaping public discourse throughout our history, who recently took a stance just before the 2024 election that we simply couldn’t overlook. Out of respect to the buying agency we work with, we won't go further, but you all certainly know who the organization is and many of our viewers/readers have likely made a similar decision about supporting them in their personal lives already.

I heard some ad reads for WaPo. Not often, and I had hoped Meidas Touch ended that sponsorship a long time ago bc of how Bezos treats his workers, including being anti-union, and how he treats the businesses that sell on Amazon. But I heard a WaPo ad read on Meidas Touch not long ago, was disappointed, and then the news broke that Bezos stopped the paper from endorsing Harris. Of course he did - the FTC is suing Amazon and most likely would have taken some action against them if Harris had won. About a year ago Bezos hired a new WaPo CEO who worked for Rupert Murdoch for years. I assume MTN has finally cut ties with WaPo and hope they avoid unethical corporations and shady billionaires like this in the future!

Who would the SPONSOR sue if they sued Maga! It’s not an Organization with a CEO, a board. It’s essentially a brand that Trump uses to make money off his own people. WaPo is frantically trying to gain readers back by offering deep discounts. I heard their ad on another podcast. These ad buys are placed by agencies, they are looking to reach their target audience for their client, such as this audience, and others like it. The buys are pretty quick and a Podcaster might not even immediately know about new ad buys. No loss, the agency is just told not place their ads on this platform.

That's not what Ben said. Someone else said that it was WaPo that offered a discounted subscription to MTN viewers. But a sponsor gives a cut of those sales to MTN. Like with FUME and others.
