We need to stand up for children, seniors, the disabled, Veterans - oh wait! pretty much every single American who did not vote for this disaster. I would spit on any oligarchs if I should see them. I have edited this comment from saying every single American.

We all can show support for the veterans on June 6 in DC. Everyone is invited. I think it will speak volumes if the regime sees how many vets are against him.

I spoke with my granddaughter who is in the Airforce. She told me the military members selected to participate in his ego parade want nothing to do with this, but have to follow orders.

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

Why do they have to follow the orders? I thought they are supposed to protect the Constitution and the American people. If everyone together opposed the orders......

All i know is they don’t have to follow unlawful orders, but the secretary of the military is that drunk and sexual predator is Pete Hegseth. I’m furious our taxpayers money is paying for a North Korea level parade costing us $92 million plus another $90 million to repair the streets.

Apparently a lot of our military does not want to participate but they are under orders.

Just wondering why the Veterans don’t combine with the June 14th? The two are so close together.

JMull's avatar

They planned it for d-day before there were plans for the 14th. It seems like the word didn’t get out there enough in the beginning. I just feel like a DC rally with veterans before there are tanks in the streets might speak to so many.

I have heard they don’t want us to go anywhere near the parade on June 14th. I think that’s wise. Ignore the draft dodger throwing himself a parade on our dollar. I feel sorry for our troops. It’s not their fault. 🤡

So you're standing up for the millions of Americans who voted for and will vote again for Trump?

I would march to the Gates of Hell to get my country back! It doesn’t belong to rich obligartes who don’t care about anyone by themselves ! The GOP that blindly follow their Orange God that they follow despite what his decrees do to the people and this country. Children going without meals and basic needs. Citizens whose homes have been destroyed without FEMA to get the ball started on rebuilding. All the time these Americans are struggling trying to get things back to right while The Goofball in charge plays golf and scams more money into his pockets. Remember what a Douche he is and remind as many people you can around the Midterms and take our country back!!!

I will march as well. I want this country back for my children and grandchildren.

And yet millions of the most vulnerable voted for him and would/will vote for him again.

And millions didn’t vote because no one cared about the genocide in Palestine. Voting for leaders who don’t care doesn’t make sense to some folks.

Their non-vote was, in reality, a vote for this nightmare we are living. What did they get for withholding their vote?

They have the right to vote for trash, it's a democracy for now. We can shake our heads and as Gramma would say "bless their hearts"

No the people leading this are fighting against the regime. See Kris Goldsmith’s Substack.

Not sure how you see it that way. Absolutely not. We are not standing up for the ignorant Americans who voted for Trump. However, we are standing up for those who realize the mistake they have made. I should also say we are not standing up for the greedy, evil oligarchs who can't see past their bank accounts.

They can't unless this orange turd manages to get the 2term limit gutted!!!!!!!

Hoping against hope TD won't get the term limits gutted. But there's also Trump Mach II = Vance or someone else equally reprehensible who will be a stand-in regardless of term limits or whether TD is still alive.

It's against the constitution for trump to run again. trump doesn't have the power to change the constitution. Simply writing an Executive Order can't overwrite the constitution.

Twenty Second Ammendment

Section 1

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Section 2

This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress.

While you are most certainly correct, I don't think that will stand in the way of Trump and his thugs in or out of Congress. If Trump can't get the Constitution amended, I think he and his followers will find some way to ignore it. I sincerely hope I am wrong.

trump would never get 2/3rds of the vote in both the House AND Senate. Our checks and balances aren't gone.

And will Trump listen to the votes?

Expand full comment
Terry's avatar

Like he did in 2020? People give him too much power. He's not the great and powerful Oz, who wasn't powerful at all. Our military take an oath to the constitution, not to a doddering old fool, not to Project 2025. The United States Constitution.
