When I saw this image, I nearly cried. I am a grown man. Seventy-one years old, and I teared up over a perfect ANIMATION that recaptures our streets today.
As they say when the shots have been fired: SHAME, SHAME, SHAAAAAMMMMEE!
My God, people, this was one of America's best. You don't make them better than a practicing nurse, which means every day for the rest of their lives, helping others. I should know. I am married to one, and I have seen her alight from my car to run to the aid of a hapless homeless guy who fell in the roadway.
Nurses are PROFESSIONALS in every conceivable way. I’ve spent many years in healthcare and know first hand how important nurses are. This article was spot on. Thank you for speaking up!
It takes a special person to be a nurse. My mother was in the hospital many times and I watched how hard they work at keeping the patients comfortable, clean, fed, provide medicine, record data on their medical charts and before they leave, they ask if there is anything they can get for you. They are constantly moving and they work 12hr days with a smile on their face. I appreciate their choice to become a nurse and I tell them that. It saddens my heart that we lost Alex Pretti. A person with a kind and caring heart. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks for your column but I think it’s important to note that nurses can stand up for ourselves. I know you are a nurse, too, and I appreciate Meidas’s team’s support. But I would have worded the headline differently- that Meidas supports nurses, but nurses do not need meidas for help to stand up. We have been standing up for decades ourselves. We just need people to join in our support. Again, thanks, but we stand up quite well on our own two feet.
However, in over 40 years of nursing, now retired, political activity has rarely been promoted or encouraged, but rather, we had been dissuaded from taking stands. The vast majority of nurses I've encountered (travel nurse for 4 years in addition to long term positions) had little to no interest in policy and politics. It's been frustrating. Better days ahead?
WE the People Remember How Eichmann's First Fascist Progrom Worked Out And Ended
WE remember the horrific display of immigrant intolerance with the immigration enforcement strategy implemented by Cheeto's regime from 2017 to 2018 in the hands of Adolph Eichmann aka Stephen Miller Children in cages separated from their parents with pictures of young children "crying mommy" as callous agents took children out of their mother's arms
WE thought that such obscene cruelty wouldn't ever occur again But now WE're witnessing Eichmann take his inhumanity to another level by the blatant open murderous attack on American citizens
Just Dance Vance, Peter Theil, and Cheeto want an authoritarian regime to succeed and Eichmann is their partner in crime against the American people But WE all know the public outrage that occurred with that progrom and WE will shut down Eichmann's atrocities again And then WE will take them all out in November 2026 The DNC better be ready because WE the People power have shown up and WE will hold D's accountable as well The is French Revolution 2.0 American style baby!!
Thank you for this post and for all that you’re doing. I’ve sent this to my daughter who’s a nurse in Seattle, and hopefully she’ll share it with her friends and colleagues.
Thanks, Meidas. We need to have more of these posts from people outside our usual columns. Thank you for your support of nurses everywhere.
Thank you, Justin, for your honesty, character, and unyielding morality - in the face of all this evil
Thank you, Justin for your post! Nurses are the rock of the healthcare system!

And she would have done that if he had had on an ICE vest. Because that's who nurses are.
God bless them. And I'm an atheist.
I was heart broken to see our colleague Alex Pretti murdered while trying to g to help
that’s very bad

That’s true

Thank you Justin for your words! Thank you Meidas for supporting nurses!
Thank you Justin and nurses everywhere
Yes
My sister is a nurse and my great uncle is a retired nurse. My sister was shocked and said, "It's too risky to vote for a Republican."
Thank you!
Stand up. I'm not much of a sitter.
