MeidasTouch Founder Letter to Community
By Ben Meiselas
Hey Meidas Mighty. It’s Ben Meiselas, co-founder of the MeidasTouch Network.
You may have noticed that I wasn’t on the podcast and that my brother Brett filled in for me during the day. I had to get an emergency root canal procedure yesterday.
Out of nowhere on Sunday afternoon, I felt one of the most excruciating pains in my mouth. I couldn’t go to sleep it was so painful, and the only thing that gave me relief was gargling water every 30 seconds—which I did the entire night into the morning until the dentist opened.
It ended up being a whole-day thing, but I feel much better now. My brothers and our whole team did an incredible job yesterday without me, and our numbers were even better than the day before.
Between my herniated disc ordeal and now this root canal, to the positive things like the birth of baby girl Ximena and my marriage in the past year, it has always been important that the MeidasTouch Network never be centered around our person.
This isn’t about me or my brothers. Sure, we are the current leaders of this network, but one day the baton will be passed to new leaders. Regardless, the leaders of the MeidasTouch Network are but temporary fiduciaries of the Meidas Mighty community.
The MeidasTouch Network will remain resilient and grow as long as we remain true to the values and principles that have united this community.
This is a community- and people-powered network. We are all human and fallible, with good days and bad days, but we all aspire to make the world a better place for the living, to honor our ancestors, and for future generations.
The MeidasTouch Network is being built by you not just to win the information battles that take place every minute of every day, but also to become an institution that withstands the test of time.
When I was getting that root canal procedure yesterday—and the loud drilling on my tooth was unsettling to say the least—I was thinking of my precious 9-month-old Ximena.
I was thinking about how her first four years of life will have this despicable regime in power. But what put me at peace was knowing how she will one day read in textbooks about how the Meidas Mighty community—how all of you reading this—came together and stopped this fascist scourge, and restored freedoms and decency and normalcy back to the country.
I am so proud of this community. I am so excited about what the MeidasTouch Network can become in the coming months and years ahead. I am fired up to keep fighting by your side and growing this network in the United States and abroad.

We’re proud to be a part of the MTN team, Ben! So happy you are on the mend! Keep up the great work! Let’s “Press On!”
Ben! Glad to hear that you are feeling better and your optimism. Jordy and Brett did a great job last night, with an assist from Popok. Please take care of yourself and take the time to rest and recover more often. There are a lot of able voices with MTN.
