Speaking of children and what they know/will know, my kids are in their early 30s now and it just occurred to me the other day that they have NEVER known a time when Congress knew how to intelligently compromise to get things done. That's still my baseline of "normal" but it will never be for them.

I recently listened to Doris Kearns Goodwin's book, "An Unfinished Love Story," in which she described the achievements of Congress in 1964, including the passage of the Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Two major laws with significant advancements for society were passed with bipartisan support in a single year. These legislatures are a lazy embarrassment. Show your power at the ballot box in 2026!
I've had about a half-dozen root canals, one an emergency ... so I know exactly what you went through, Ben. As bad as they are, root canals are not as painful as listening to the utterances of the moron infesting the White House.
