The MeidasTouch Network keeps on growing and getting out the truth to larger audiences in the United States and across the world. I’ve always been thinking about the best ways to keep our growth going and support others joining this independent news community.

To help fuel this growth, we are so excited to announce today that the MeidasTouch Network has completed our first strategic investment round, positioning the company for significant expansion across the United States and internationally as it continues to lead the next generation of independent media.

At a time when newsrooms across the country are being gutted and journalists are facing mass layoffs, the MeidasTouch Network is doing the opposite: investing in high-quality journalism and independent voices.

The MeidasTouch Network will maintain full editorial and creative control, now with the resources to scale. The investment round was led by Soros Fund Management, alongside a group of U.S.-based investors who share the core values and mission of the MeidasTouch Network.

This is a defining moment for MeidasTouch, and we are thrilled to close this round because it gives us the resources to accelerate what we’ve been building—one of the most impactful newsrooms in the country and a truly independent media network at scale.

The MeidasTouch Network has already become the most-watched digital news network in the United States, with billions of views on YouTube and one of the most downloaded audio podcasts in the world.

This investment allows us to think bigger. We are now exploring acquisitions, investing in other independent creators and journalists, and building a network where reporters can do real journalism without compromise. We’re now just getting started.

We want to deploy the resources to provide top journalists, reporters, and even perhaps late-night comedians with a place where they can engage in their profession with fearlessness and autonomy and talk directly to the people without being censored.

In addition to expanding its newsroom, the MeidasTouch Network plans to invest heavily in identifying and partnering with independent media organizations to build the largest pro-democracy news network in the country and beyond.
