I don’t have a vote in that race, if I did I’d force myself to vote for him. The primary system forces us to choose between the lesser of two evils, and that seems to really limit any chance at actual progress. The real problem is I’ve lost faith in the Democratic Party with how they let her seat get stolen. They take the support of Black women for granted, but when someone is willing to do what it takes for her constituents she doesn’t get the party’s support to keep her seat.

This admin, with Project 2025, has been systematically dismantling parts of our government since they got into power. So many don't realize it. It's everywhere. My son, who loves to go hiking in the far reaches of National Parks and Forest Service lands, told me how bad some of the trails are, with fallen trees, washouts, and crowded parking with long waits. These lands are being neglected and monies taken away from them for self-serving, hideous projects. Change. It's what's for dinner.
