Ben, I stand with you and the rest of the MM. My feelings about the situation are made clear in this email I sent yesterday to senators I’ve been writing to for over a month with no apparent effect:

You are complicit in the biggest abuse of power ever perpetrated by a United States president. When the president pauses enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act to make Bribery Okay. Did any alarms go off in your head? When the SDNY Attorney and Public Prosecutors quit, did you maybe feel a few pangs of guilt that there maybe something going on at DOJ that you should get involved in? Did you have any misgivings about approving the worst, most unqualified, inexperienced and incompetent cabinet members that have ever been assembled by an elected president? Nothing huh? Well let me just express my 2 cents. You and the entire REPUBLICAN contingent of the Senate are a disgrace and each of you brings nothing but dishonor to this great country by your refusal to act where clearly action is called for. I believe the word for this is COWARDICE. I hope you wear the label proudly, because you have certainly earned it.
Wow, perfectly said. I hate to say it but letters via email or paper apparently are getting dumped. Phones calls apparently are falling on deaf ears as well but I will keep trying. It is so far beyond our outrage on paper, although this communication is important to stay motivated. I think we the people need to get out on the streets in numbers to protest. The commentary on TV is a joke from newscasters, saying the same things over and over. This is clearly a takeover of our government, slash and burn not just cutting costs. This is a well thought out plan. For anyone in denial about what is happening just pick up a history book, it is plain and clear, fascist takeover right before our eyes. If Elon continues to takeover our “technology” even the Republicans will not be able to help us. All of us will be under the thumb of Musk, the real dictator.
Well, they can ignore us, but that should not stop us. Keep calling, keep pestering them, keep emailing, keep showing up, keep telling everyone you can reach and demand your rights under the Constitution. I to have no effect; not even enough to warrant a reply other than one house rep who asked for a donation and Grassley's form letter saying he would address my concerns fully at a later time; right. Do they really think we're going to donate to them when many of us can't even afford groceries and gas thanks to them.
They can only hope! But flood their inboxes and their voice mail and pester the crap out of their staff on a regular basis. Even if you get the same form letter every time. They count the numbers, even if they don't do anything - at least not at first - but if enough people are demanding their rights by the Constitution, they will get nervous and have to make a choice. The grumbling behind closed doors is already leaking out to the public, so now is the time to punch up our onslaught of grievance and push them over to taking a stand against this coup d'etat!

Thank you for your efforts…I think they also need to be reminded how many poor and elderly including children will be affected by their inaction and it will be on their conscience for the rest of their lives unless they take action…

Agree… I rarely get a response that has anything to do with a email. Usually a position paper having nothing to do with what’s going on in government.
