I’m so depressed.

With the issue of taking away birthright citizenship (which, by the way, many countries in the world DON'T have either), given how it's been presented, I realized that, since neither of my parents were citizens when I was born in the 1950s, technically, I would not be a citizen. They were not both naturalized until I was 5. Can I please get deported to Slovenia? It's a beautiful country. They speak English. Housing is more affordable. Everyone has health care. College is free. Food is healthier. Not everyone can have guns that wants them. Childcare is more available. Taxes are not unreasonable.

Add to that, though, the depression that comes from the hate that emanates from MAGA that affects me and my family. They, in effect, hate my son. Hate my niece. Hate my friend's 5 year old. Hate my best friend. Hate Muslims. Hate POC. As much as I work to not let this stuff get to me, it's a constant barrage of their garbage everywhere you go. And they do stupid stuff like now changing the Department of Defense to the War Department. Who asked for that? Just stop.

Thanks for letting me vent. I'm not sure what more I can do to deal with.

Oh, Barb, I had to chuckle at your comment about moving to Slovenia. How many times have my husband and I fantasized about moving away from here since January?!? I’m sorry for the way you are feeling and can definitely relate. It is the hate that is the hardest to take, especially when it comes from family members and people you’ve known your whole life…, and to make it worse, you just can’t understand how those people can BE that way! Sending good wishes for you to get out, enjoy some sun, or do something for YOU today to give you a break from this! ♥️

I actually wanted to move to Canada about 20 years ago, because I had my fill of stupid Republican Presidents' policies, proliferation of guns and gun violence, and the observation that things were not headed in the right direction. Alas, they didn't need ICU nurses at the time, so I was stuck here. No country is perfect, but the promise of the United States for average folk has been unravelling since the days of Reagan. I now spend time trying to convince my son to move to a country more deserving of him and his talents. Thanks for your thoughts.

Canada has become extremely expensive now. Housing is next to impossible to purchase with starter homes starting at $600,000. Taxes are in the 15% range on everything you buy. Groceries are skyrocketing. But I still love my home country of Canada.

Homes in my area are being built for $550,000 and up. Yes, way more expensive than they are worth. But you don't have the gun violence. You have health care like we don't. Those two make up so much of the "deficit." Someone explained to me recently how much you all pay for income taxes up there, and, when I factored in the cost of paying for private insurance family plan ($25k a year), your taxes for income at least, weren't unreasonable. Count your blessings. Not being the king of the world is also a benefit of living in Canada.

His reputation as a cheater, liar, fraud, bully, racist, con, mob-style bully, racist bigot, misogynist who hires undocumented workers then stiffs them, and a womanizer who assaults women is well known. He’s despised by most New Yorkers. So I was stunned when he ran for president and was actually nominated!

But my sister and I used to laugh hysterically at the sheer notion that he could possibly win! And then, we were speechless when he actually did win.

But the fact that republicans didn’t stop him by indicting him and removing him from office after the Democratic house impeached him TWICE was incomprehensible. But then they renominated and re-elected him???? It’s stupifying. It seems the fix is in…P2025 is rapidly being implemented by some very powerful people…can WE THE PEOPLE STOP THIS?

They have what they want. Agency and a ruling that will cause confusion wrapped in pretty paper with a big autocratic bow from the most corrupt ever SCOTUS.

So, yes! You can today be considered a citizen but once targeted by Trump or needed to increase the quota and fill the newly built prisons for immigrants DeSantis constructed in the Everglades in Florida.

SCOTUS had the choice to give a nod toward the law of the land as represented by the 14th Amendment. They are not stupid. It was a deliberate choice and gift to the Regime to make all of us more vulnerable to the worse of this Regime.

And do not naively think the Regime wants to clarify who is vulnerable and who is not? It is the confusion that they will use to their advantage. They are all of them law breakers who act first while you chase after what was stolen whether it be you, your family member or a neighbor or your rights!

So, yes! You can be imprisoned and deported to fucking Sudan. They do not need a law changed to kill you. They only need confusion. I am amazed how we look for clarity in the confusion when in fact the confusion is their weapon and therefore there will never be any clarity.

Confusion triggers fear! To be afraid is to surrender. We have nothing to fear but fear itself if we 100% not one person less than 100% of us of us show our outrage and unite in protest, and other forms of increased peaceful agitation.

And, if you can only write a check and if that check can only be 50 cents, then donate to the rising stars campaigning courageously refusing the donations from PACs to unseat the GOP.

Do something and when you find your agency or thing do it often. We are at war!

I found my "local tribe" by joining INDIVISIBLE.ORG last February, which brought me to upcoming events, which lead me to a few protests, which then connected me to an email address for a local contact, which got me on their mailing list, which today has informed me there will be weekly rallies starting in two weeks with no end date in sight in a town 2 miles south of my home. And a zoom meeting in two weeks to confer on strategies and what needs to be done.

They have enough to do whatever they want. We have no rights. The Supreme Court endorsed breaking the law and ignoring the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, which is law! Once that happens it a free for all.

My message to everyone is please tell me are you a FIGHTER or a FOLDER? Are you a SPECTATOR or a PLAYER?

If after close to one year you have sat on the sidelines doing absolutely nothing but clutching your pears or flat out left the country because that move was within your budget, you have surrendered for all of us. How dare you!

Those engaged one way, or another represent the smallest percentage or all of us. News bulletin: We are not engaged so you can watch and find it lessens your anxiety. We don't work for you and the only way out of this CRISIS is if 100% of us do something!

All bets are off that you will, however, put down your scrolling and actually get involved. Shame on you and history will remember.

Now is the time to increase our agitation peacefully but no less than 100% of us united:

And the Regime knows this thus the fear mongering. But be assured that we have NOTHING to FEAR but FEAR itself. (Franklin D. Roosevelt). He was right! Take a moment and research his words. “One of the most important things to communicate is that there is no action that’s too small.

I think sometimes people talk themselves out of things because they feel like: “What can my one letter do? What can my one call to Congress do? What can my one donation or me showing up to a toy drive, or me showing up to an event actually do?”

It does a lot. Because it inspires other people to show up. It’s like each drop in the ocean thinking that it’s meaningless, when it’s actually the most powerful force on the planet.

And that’s the key. If you’re speaking up online, that’s wonderful. How are you integrating this into your life?

Terry, unfortunately I don't think you would be welcomed since it was at one time a Communist country making up part of Yugoslavia, and it is mainly Christian. I "My tribe" would not be welcomed either.

But I just read something remarkable in the NYT. Halfway down the digital page, but at least it wasn't hidden. More than 100,000 marched in Hungary today for Pride Day. Usually a low-key event. I didn't know they have been having them since 1995. Orban banned it, threatened "legal consequences" but Budapest's liberal mayor allowed it. Rainbow flags.Turned into a mass rally against Orban and his authoritarian regime. Somebody said "they think we're stupid. It's a distraction from the stealing and other problems".Someone showed up with her son in a wheelchair just to show " she was fed up with this gov't trying to make us all afraid".

The Orange Menace, who how many times in his rallies talked about the "great Viktor Orban"" and welcomed him to Mar-a-lago, as he was planning his coup, while Orban probably gave him the "Authoritarian for Dummies" playbook should take heed.

This was my favorite part: "A minor kerfuffle broke out when a Dutch evangelical Christian walked through the crowd carrying a cross and cursing participants as "traitors to G-d" followed by a man from Sweden waving a copy of the bible"

No offense to anyone's religion but these are the hypocrites hiding behind their cross. How dare they judge anyone who wants to live their lives in peace as a "traitor"? I will always stand up for LGBTQ rights . I have family and

many friends. Keep hope. 🙏 (I can't find the pride flag emoji on my kindle fire. The worst) but I raise it for you and all my friends and family.

Somehow maybe we can do whatever work is necessary to prevent this imbalance again. Project 2025 has been a long game in the making, Felon47 seems like the worst there has ever been, but clearly there is no shortage of people willing to take that role. I hear what you're saying, the relief would be welcome, but really not an end to it, but the beginning of the work that needs to be done. I saw it that way if Harris had been elected, too, a lot of work to be done. Maybe that would have only put off the inevitable, we need significant change in our country so that power does not become so imbalanced again. There are some who are fighting tooth and nail with us, but as long as those Republican Congressmen and Congresswomen and Senators (which are ALL of my representatives, btw) will not budge… even when people voice their displeasure, and when the Supreme Court appears to be largely in the administration’s pocket, there’s no way to check the Executive Branch.

I was hoping Cornyn would be more responsive seeing he is up for re-election next year but I am not seeing any signs he has a spine either.

Abbott is running against him next year. The psychopaths in Texas will likely vote for Abbot who is worse.

The only hope Texas has is moderates and Independents find Abbot so repulsive they actually gamble on a democrat.

Yes, it is disgusting. As we have been saying all along, the cruelty is the point. I can' wait until Kristi Noem (and her botoxed countenance) along with her fellow terrorists and abusers are standing trial, Nuremburg-style. Do you think this will come to pass?

There has been a strain of ugliness and meanness in our society for a long time. Trump has given people permission to be their absolute worst selves, and you see it in politicians such as De Santis, pandering to the desire to punish and inflict pain on "those people".

You are right some sects are borderline cult. You are right many were decieved by Felon47, and that makes me very sad. I believe Felon47 goes against our teachings of loving our neighbors. are right some are anti vaxxers recently in Texas. My family had cows, and we did not drink raw milk. Just like any group of people not all Mennonites are monolithic. Some sects if your house burns down, the neighbors come build a new house. If you have a hospital bill you can't pay, they get together and pay your hospital bill. They are not perfect people. God's grace is sufficient for us that have a past.

Basic teachings of Jesus have been trashed by the fake Christian nationalists and false prophets like Paula White...etc.... Matthew 25.....has been torn out of the pages of the Trump FakeNews Bible.......welcome the stranger!!!! help the poor!!!!

My personal biblical reseach often leads me to Matthew 7:22-23 .......On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.

I follow IHIPNEWS......The ladies live in Oklahoma where there is a mega-church on every corner and fake christians have taken over the state.
