It was the last sentence that led me to believe you were a Trump supporter. For that, I apologize. Seems to me that there is a mindless indoctrination going on with the new GOP. No matter what Trump says or does, maga goes along with it. I don't think the Dems are out of touch with reality. They just don't fall for Trump's lies and misinformation.

I see. No, I am not a Trump supporter. Never have been. Recognized he is a vile person 30+ years ago when he first came to my attention.
However, I am also not giving someone a pass because they are Dems (= not "guzzling" the Dem Kool-Aid either). Ex: if you watched the warm-fuzzy YouTubes MTN et al. put out before the election, you could be forgiven for having thought there is no way Trump could win. "His base is leaving his rallies, he's having sex with a microphone, he's deranged" -- all true, yet that didn't matter to his base. I'm sure those predictions were based in large part on Dems being out of touch with the reality of Trump's lasting appeal AND what most concerns everyday Americans. And that mind set had disastrous consequences: people didn't bother to vote because they were told Trump was no longer electable.
Agreed. I am a moderate, somewhere in the middle. I am one of the MI swing voters that everyone hates. I don't agree with the Dems on all points, but the GOP has completely gone off the rails. At this point, I will continue to vote Dem until the Trump stain is gone. If it ever is.
