Knowledge well used is indeed power. From some interviews I've seen it seems that many members of Congress really don't quite know what is in the bill and exactly what it will mean for their constituents, and even though the vast majority of the GOP congress does not actually care about their constituents, a few might and we need to be sure they understand just what is in the bill. I live in Missouri and I honestly don't know what is going on with Josh Hawley with his coming out very strongly against the Medicaid cuts....that's just not like him to do something for the 20 % of his constituents who receive Medicaid or any public assistance (except bail outs for farmers which somehow is not public assistance). Medicaid seems to have gotten most of the attention and probably (maybe) most GOP congressmen/women, Senators know something about this (but I really don't think so....they seem to think millions of able bodied folks are sitting at home using their medicaid card to get unnecessary medical treatment and that needs to stop???? But it's ok for trump to use over $30,000 for 20 days of golfing). So many thanks to MTN and Congressman Suozzi for this sort of summary that maybe we can use when making calls to our MOC to tell them we do not approve of the budget.
