Ron Filipkowski on Today's Uncovered

We had a really big show today on Uncovered - my first one back after last week’s vacation.

Started out talking about the criticism leveled at Gavin Newsom by Joe Scarborough this morning, who thinks that he should not be trolling Trump and MAGA on social media like he has been over the past couple weeks. I talked about the reasons why I think Joe is dead wrong. I also wrote an article this morning listing 9 reasons why I think he is wrong, which you can find here.

We also talked about Fox and right-wingers melting down over what Newsom has been doing.

I talked about Trump’s comment yesterday about wanting to go to heaven and how he thinks that ending the war in Ukraine will somehow convince God to let him past the pearly gates despite all the horrible things he has done his entire life.

We talked about the National Guard in DC - Anthony and I were in complete agreement (we aren’t always!) that this is just a trial run for Trump doing this in blue cities during the midterms to intimidate voters.

I talked about Kristi Noem’s scam to move into the Coast Guard Commandant’s home at taxpayer expense near her “special friend” Corey Lewandowski.

We spent a lot of time talking about Trump’s summits in Alaska with Putin and in the White House with Zelensky and European leaders. I went into detail about how European leaders are forced to play a stupid game with Trump, which he is using to his advantage domestically.

I also talked about Trump claiming that he is now a “war hero” just like his friend Netanyahu, and those comments in connection with his other statements about the military - like how he always wanted to “win” a purple heart.

Lots of other stuff too like RFK Jr and Pete Hegseth’s workout videos, but those were some of the highlights. Or may I should say lowlights. Link to the show is here.
