On today’s Uncovered we started out talking about Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff’s meeting today with Putin, Trump’s response, and what I think is really going on behind the scenes and in the works.

We talked a lot about how Trump is now using tariffs to try to accomplish foreign policy goals that have nothing to do with trade - the legalities of that, how he is doing it, and how that is hurting American companies and consumers.

I also went over all the latest on the Epstein saga and Todd Blanche’s meeting with Maxwell. Also gave a couple of alternate theories on why they moved her to the facility in Texas, whether tapes or transcripts will be released, and Vance’s meeting to discuss strategy that he claims is just fake news.

I talked about Greg Abbott’s gerrymander scheme, the Dems who have left Texas to prevent a quorum. I talked about the legalities of Abbott’s threat to prosecute them and the political implications for districts represented by people of color like Greg Casar and Jasmine Crockett. We also talked about how this is likely to escalate if it continues to involve lots of other states.

We also discussed Trump’s firing the chief of the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the implications of that, and why he and his henchman are completely wrong with their spin on why he did it.

I also talked about Trump’s recent gross misogynistic statements about press secretary Karoline Leavitt and how this fits into the general pattern of all the women who come into his orbit, but also how she seems more that willing to play the part he wants her to play.
