I have been a feminist since the 70s when I heard Steinem speak, and I am sure that we will lose if we run another woman. And, I love California, but we will lose if we run another liberal from California. Democrats have to learn from the past and be practical. It is too important to blow again. How about Governor Spitzer. He is a blunt speaker and projects strength.

How about we look past those years and into the present ones? How about we stop being a circular firing squad party and begin to work together? How about we look at the youth who are coming up and really don't give a damn about gender. How about we stop shooting ourselves in the foot and concentrate on winning the mid-term and THEN look to 2028? How about we concentrate on getting this ogre, if not out of office, under semi-control by taking back the House and the Senate and, and right now barnstorming the country with town halls and in Congress, doing shadow committees to inform the citizens of what is being done in their name. One more thing - define "liberal."

I am with you 100% and I'm also in CA. This is not yet a country where the middle will vote for a woman, much less a Black woman. I'd like to see Andy Bashear, gov of KY run. Liberal who won in the middle of the country, red state. But he's not afraid and he would make a great candidate.
