If you can make sure they teach their friends because this is the problem Trump is trying to make our history go away, and there are many like you or your dad that have served this country and they deserve the highest level of respect, but they're not getting it. And the big part of it is these goons are trying to erase history of anybody that wasn't European white having any kind of heroic qualities or anything like that it's insane. they even scrub the Tuskegee airmen website in Arlington. I believe trying to cover up things that is just blatantly wrong. I don't care what nationality anybody is. We shouldn't treat anybody like that. This country was made great because we work together as a team regardless of our politics.

Completely agree! We have Memorial Day in one week, July 4th in a little over a month, and we need to talk about all the connections we have. I have a grandfather who fought in WWI, my dad and uncles in WWII, and many cousins who are veterans of Afghanistan and many other places - all Mexican Americans. I plan to make a lot of statements about that. 🇺🇸🙏🏻❤️‍🩹

Inexplicable! The odious David Perdue is an antisemitic election denier and got 16 Senate Dems voting to confirm him! All Dems in Congress need to unite in voting NO to everything on the Trump agenda. All we can do now is join together in solidarity to oppose everything he and the MAGAs want!

It is easy to stand up for RIGHT and DEMOCRACY. Gallego and Kelly, also from Arizona, have not. If you want to be a MAGA DEMOCRAT, quit asking Progressive Democrats for $200 to fight Trump. Neither need money. They need a backbone!

I honor your opinion and your right to have it, but I can barely imagine the conflicts, un-seen--to us who may not be Latinos--whispers, pressures, and judgments Senator Gallego has to deal with. Walking a tightrope over Niagara Falls would surely be easier.

I'm asking this in good faith, not trying to create conflict in this good community: Why do you believe the Latino community was pushing the Senator to vote for Georgia election denying David Perdue as Ambassdor to China? Why does that have to do with his constituents or the latino community?

It's always going to be an out for him if we have no standards at all.

Modifying my question I asked elswhere, and I'm not trying to be confrontational. Good faith discussion/disagreement is important in a community like Meidas!

Why do you believe the constituents was pushing the Senator to vote for Georgia election denying David Perdue as Ambassdor to China? You're implying he shouldn't have expended political capital opposing Perdue. Why would his consitutents get pissed about that? What am I missing on that front?

Gallego voted for Douglas Collins - head of Veterans Affairs. It is Collins who is doing the damage - not Trump. Collins could stand up for Veterans or RESIGN and work FOR Veterans, but he is a Trump sycophant. Just remember when you are assigning Hero Status be certain that your hero actually is one!

Oh, believe me before the election I got in a heated argument with a Chinese Latino Nurse that I wasn't trying to argue with her another thing she overheard my conversation about Trump on the phone and started yelling. Apparently, the Latinos thought Trump was for them. I said, I don't think you understand he wants to deport all of you. They didn't believe me. She seemed like a nice person. I was kind of surprised she was Latino because she looked more Chinese, but she was from Puerto Rico. All of them got used. They had no idea what a monster this guy was. I listen to a bunch of Latino say that oh he's the Messiah and all this Craziness And I just shook my head and threw my arms up. There's only so much you can say and try to do, but if people don't wanna learn the truth, I guess I'm not the guy to convince him otherwise I just try to put the raw facts out there.

I have thought this for a long time. Trump’s reelection definitely signals that we are not well educated on mental health disorders in the US. Narcissistic Grandiose Personality Disorder is a real diagnosis! He needs treatment, not the presidency. However, my understanding is that people just can’t get over or well from this disorder. There’s a lot of it these days.

There was a HUGE misinformation campaign going out on the Spanish speaking airwaves. Dems missed that market.... I don't understand how the DNC cannot get their minds wrapped around the messaging and delivery ...aside from not having memorable slogans that encapsulate what were about... and aside from being able to decide as a party what were about. A Case for a Gold Standard Democrats Need to Step Up

The US is in the biggest credit/debt bubble($35T debt and in risk to be $40T+) in global history and at the top of a credit cycle(equity market highs) the Orange Cheeto has decided to inflict the world with a tariff war Shades of the market crash in 1929 coupled with the Smoot Hawley tariffs which led the country into a long term depression bailed out by the way by WWII spending not as Keynesian economists argue that it was JM Keynes

Inflation is not going down and consumers are suffering And the dollar is tanking(dropping below 100 for the first time in 4y and moving into low 10y territory) and foreign investors are nervous about the chaotic activity in government and losing confidence in investing in the US as a country This means that foreign as well as domestic investors are slowly moving away from buying bonds(in order to attract investors in bonds the bond yield has to increase to attract investors to buy our bonds since they taking on risk)

This now sets the stage for a classic debt trap The Fed cannot lower interest rates to deal with inflation….its typical tool to lower the inflation rate….and if the interest rates stay or go higher the government cannot afford the interest rate on the debt particularly if investors are reducing their purchase of bonds

Reintroduction of a gold standard will fix this debt trap that the country faces The reason that gold is going up to higher and higher is because the cost of credit/debt is going higher and the purchasing power of the dollar is going down hence inflation staying the same or going up

Democrats need to make the radical change and work toward re-establishing a gold standard that Nixon took the economy off in 1971 creating 50y period of fiat money, quantitative easing, and excessive government spending without scrutiny And they would find bipartisan support if they campaigned on the issue

It's not some DOGE boy deciding the % for cuts. DOGE is a front. Heritage/Project 2025 is setting/moving the goalposts for this. My guess is that they have a timeline based around the 2026 election cycle and they will make as many incremental cuts as needed to strip & sell the place by then.

It was the CUBANS who left Cuba because they didn't want to hand over their excessive wealth to Castro that voted for Trump. When you lump everyone that speaks Spanish into one pigeon hole you misrepresent entire groups of people. "Latino" should not be used. Neither should "hispanic" because the first wave of Cubans and the second wave (Castro actually DID open Insane Asylums and jails and put them on boats and sent them to the USA.....quite different groups. (also possibly where tRump keeps mentioning Asylums)... or maybe he thinks people SEEKING Asylum should be IN them.
