Have heard variations of this forever, primarily to dissuade people from voting or to vote for some third party candidate. In our system of democracy, how we 'count the votes', It is extremely difficult for a third party candidate (or 'independent') to win. It has happened, but the usual result is to enable the party you MOST want to defeat, to win.

Here is a clue, actually look at the dollar amounts donated by WHICH corporations to which candidates. Look at the specifics of what those laws do. Do NOT look at the opposition party for information on which side stands for what, unless they bring FACTS that you verify.

Actually I have watched the other side. I am trained professionally in logical thinking and dealing with reality. I am also by nature a follower of the teachings of Jesus. Have heard variations of this forever, primarily to dissuade people from voting or to vote for some third party candidate. In our system of democracy, how we 'count the votes', It is extremely difficult for a third party candidate (or 'independent') to win. It has happened, but the usual result is to enable the party you MOST want to defeat, to win.
The fundamental premise is that there is no difference between the two parties, and that everyone is equally corrupted by donations. Here is a clue, actually look at the dollar amounts donated by WHICH corporations to which candidates. Look at the specifics of what those laws do. Do NOT look at the opposition party for information on which side stands for what, unless they bring FACTS that you verify.

Actually I have watched the other side. I am trained professionally in logical thinking and dealing with reality. I am also by nature a follower of the teachings of Jesus. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Matthew 5:43-44. This isn't a metaphor. He means it. In a culture built on honor and revenge, where Roman soldiers could strike you with impunity and the Zealots dreamed of violent revolution, Jesus wasn't just challenging personal grudges.
