Ted Cries: Mitch Won't Help Me!

Ted Cruz went on Mark Levin's show to complain that Mitch McConnell's Senate Leadership Fund PAC isn't doing anything to help him in his tough battle against Colin Allred. Cruz complained that Mitch's PAC refused to help him with his race, while the Senate Democrats' PAC is spending millions to help Allred.

"We are in the middle of a full-on battle. Chuck Schumer has been explicit - I'm his number one target. They are spending $100-150 million trying to beat me ... For 3 months they've been running attack ads nonstop. I just got up on TV three weeks ago. It's not that I didn't want to be on TV three months ago, we didn't have the money .. and poll after poll shows this as a one point race."

Ted blamed McConnell as the primary reason why he doesn't have any money. When Levin asked him if McConnell's PAC has spent any money on his race, Ted replied, "Not a penny." Ted then complained that Mitch did this to him before in 2018 and it almost cost him the election:

"In 2018 I was facing at the time what was at the most expensive senate race in U.S. history. I was being outspent 3-1. Mitch McConnell spend zero dollars to defend Texas. He spent $300 million elsewhere, but not a penny in Texas. This time that PAC  has $400 million and they have spent zero (on my race)."

Naturally, Ted throughout the interview begged people to send him money:

"I got to say to your viewers, I need your help. Please come to Ted Cruz dot org. Make a contribution. Give $10, $25, $50 or $100. Or maybe someone can give even $500 or maybe a $1,000."

Cruz claimed that Mitch doesn't like him because he won't listen to him or obey him. But Cruz also spent the last two years constantly promoting his podcast after he signed a big contract for it. Now, with Allred down only 1-3 points in the polls, Ted wants Mitch to bail him out with some cash.

It's rough when you have no friends.
