SPEAKER 4
I'm joined by Tom Bonior of Target Smart, Simon Rosenberg of the Hopium Chronicles. You know, the best data guys in the game going through early voting patterns, helping us understand the polling out there. Let's start with you, Tom Bonior. Tell us, what's the state of play one day before the election?

SPEAKER 2
Yeah, I mean, so here we are on the eve of the big day. We've got a lot of early votes in about 78 million votes have been cast. We know compared to where we were four years ago, which is the baseline everyone has been using here with all the caveats that we're all pretty well aware of.

That means total turnout is down about 13%. Now, we shouldn't take that as a sign of less intensity and enthusiasm. What we're taking that sign of is what we expected to be the case. that many people would be shifting back to Election Day voting. Now,

The Final Countdown: Data Experts Say GOP's Early Voting Strategy Has Fallen Short

With 78 million early votes cast, data analysts Tom Bonier and Simon Rosenberg reveal a pivotal Democratic edge as the election nears.

In an exclusive interview with the MeidasTouch Network, data experts Tom Bonier of TargetSmart and Simon Rosenberg of Hopium Chronicles analyzed the early voting landscape one day before Election Day. Bonier highlighted that while early voting totals are down by 13% compared to four years ago, this shift reflects more people choosing to vote on Election Day rather than a lack of enthusiasm. He noted that Democrats still hold a significant advantage in the early vote, defying Republican efforts to close the gap, despite a high-profile GOP push involving Elon Musk to bolster early turnout.

According to Bonier, the Republican Party had promised to reverse their 2020 early voting loss by deploying substantial resources to motivate their base to vote early. However, Bonier observed that early vote data shows a “colossal Republican failure,” with early voting demographics mirroring those of 2020—a year in which Democrats dominated. In states like North Carolina, gender gaps in the early vote have actually widened since 2020, indicating that the GOP’s push to mobilize new, younger voters has largely fallen flat.

Simon Rosenberg underscored the significance of recent polling data, which has shown Vice President Kamala Harris leading in key battlegrounds, including a three-point lead in Iowa and a twenty-point lead among women in Kansas. Rosenberg interpreted these polling shifts as evidence that GOP strategies—particularly those involving questionable polling from conservative firms and overseas betting markets—may be less about accurately gauging the election and more about influencing public perception to prepare for a contested election outcome. The increased polling from right-wing outlets is part of what Rosenberg calls a “red wave” strategy, designed to create a narrative that Trump is ahead despite data indicating otherwise.

Rosenberg and Bonier concluded by emphasizing the importance of maintaining voter turnout through Election Day, with Rosenberg urging Americans to disregard misleading narratives about a Republican “red wave” and to close the election strong, emphasizing that victory margins will be crucial in ensuring a decisive outcome.

These manipulated polls, like most strategies that MAGA has implemented, could very well drive sickened Americans in larger numbers to the polls simply to repel any furtherance of this historical train wreck.

I've been saying manipulated polls work on the interests of Republicans bc it make them look competitive, but they also work in the interests of Democrats bc they scare people into voting. Harris is running like she's 20 points behind, she might not prevail, but that sure sounds like a good strategy. Specially when compared with an adversary always looking for a cozy warm reassurance of his ego

I heard something today about Grannies like me. We fought for abortion freedom in the early ‘70’s. One analysis said Boomer women are extremely angry that our hard fought victory is being taken away from our daughters and Granddaughters. That sure tracks with how I feel.

Trump has his followers convinced they are winning. They are very smug over on X. When do MAGAs stop being Trump's suckers? They just never learn. They are a conman's dream.

A reminder that on Reddit and X, there is rampant bot accounts that are unchecked by the website owners. And Elon Musk has a special button to allow him to push his preferred trending topics to the top, and bury the others at the bottom. The bots work in concert to make them trending, and then he can shove them in everyone's faces.... or kill them, like he did the "Epstein's Best Friend" that went viral over the weekend.

I heard a pollster talking last week and he said, polls are created based on previous elections but that is a flawed method. They don’t know what is happening with young people and Dobbs. They don’t understand GenZ and Millennials or the number in their generation. They built 2024 polls based on 2020 assumptions about how to find the random sample to calculate their stats. They are repeating indicators that fail now. Older women like me ,Boomer, are angry and believe they need to protect their daughters and Granddaughters. The turn out I think is going to surprise everyone.

They also simply don't know how to reach Millennials. We stopped answering the phones because of call fatigue from all the stupid "calling about your call's extended warranty" scams in the last few years.

If someone asks me to answer a survey in the street, I'd answer gladly. But I'm never answering an unlisted number ever again.

My grandaughter is a GenZ and our State is blue. My Observation is that most GenZ young men are really supportive of a woman’s right to choose. It reinforces their concern for all people.

Fun trivia…..if Harris won every state where she had more individual donors that were also registered voters, regardless of the amount of the donation…..she’d get 500 EV’s. This is based on WaPo analysis of donor data.

It’s a nice message for now but he has a mixed message, populist in one aside but populist is also progressive like AOC abd Bernie sanders. I think Trump if to f* it up so much that there will be a period of confusion about whether humans are actually inherently good, or not.

I agree with your strategy but it’s also pathetic that we have nothing more to say. But maybe there’s a song or a ringtone. A ringtone is better than a song. Let’s share those until we can’t!
