I know a perfect place for a Trump statue. Up Randy “Uncle Eddie” Quaid’s ass. 😉

My vote goes to the nyc dump

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

Actually any dump as long as it is deep and wide. I imagine the Canadians would like to suggest a few dump sites.

Can someone please find one of the memorable nude statues, copy and display around the country?

Why is this still on this (and other) substack comments?

I suggest at the bottom of the Gulf of “America”.

Mar-a-lago. Placed where he can see himself. Like in his golden bathroom where he can read the 'secrets.'

If in a public spot where everyone can see it, then like Michelangelo's David. Anatomically correct in every way. You know, like the Emperor's new clothes.

And regularly sprayed with something that attracts pigeons or sea birds. I learned the hard way to not park under palm trees near the beach in California.

The Romans used to paint their statues. So orange coloring on his face.

Now that you mentioned reading, I don't think he's capable of such, every time he signed an executive order, it was stated aloud by an assistant.

🤡 DAILY DUNCE: Trump’s Masterclass in Appeasement

“I Trust Putin” – The Most Dangerous Words Ever Uttered by an American President

Ladies and gentlemen, we are witnessing history: the most servile, groveling, and downright embarrassing display of presidential weakness ever recorded. Donald Trump, in his infinite naivety—or is it complicity?—declared that he “trusts” Vladimir Putin when the Russian dictator says he wants peace in Ukraine.

Yes, you heard that right. The man who has invaded sovereign nations, poisoned his enemies, and crushed democracy with an iron fist apparently pinky-swore to Trump that he means well this time. And, like a toddler promised a lollipop, Trump just believes him.

Trump’s Exact Words, Because You Can’t Make This Up:

“I spoke to him yesterday. I mean, I know him very well. Yeah, I think he wants peace. I think he would tell me if he didn’t. I think I’d like to see peace. I believe that, yeah, I believe that he would like to see something happen. I trust him on this subject.”

Trust him? On this subject?! The subject of war and conquest? The subject of violence and destruction? The subject of a dictator who literally assassinates people with radioactive tea?

This isn’t diplomacy. This isn’t strategy. This is subjugation—a pathetic, tail-between-the-legs moment where the sitting President of the United States hands over his dignity, his country’s credibility, and any semblance of leadership to a former KGB officer.

What’s Missing?

Oh, just one minor detail: Ukraine. You know, the country actually being invaded. The one losing its citizens, soldiers, and sovereignty to Putin’s bloodthirsty ambitions. But why bother consulting the victim when you can just take the word of the perpetrator?

This is beyond appeasement. This is beyond Neville Chamberlain waving his “peace for our time” paper before Hitler steamrolled Europe. This is active collaboration with an enemy of democracy.

Trump has always idolized dictators, but this is something different. This isn’t just admiration. This is obedience.

And when a so-called leader kneels before an autocrat, the world suffers.

These are grounds for impeachment. But we won’t get anything resembling honor and integrity from the complicit and cowardly Republicans.

Fraser's avatar

Actually those cowards will get suddenly emboldened when they face a loss in their own jurisdiction!! Yup, real cowards!!

Anna B's avatar

Elizabeth Warren said that even with an x-ray machine the people across the aisle couldn't find their spines ...

Elisa's avatar

Traitors to the Constitution and everything American. I don't know where SCOTUS is, in Putin's pocket? Being TREASONOUS means betraying your oath and we need to make an iron clad list of such actions, just to begin with.

Tammy Scott's avatar

Trump is a traitor period.

Elisa's avatar

Poster child for incompetence. He and his Cabinet.

Fraser's avatar

We can only hope that trump is "trusting" enough to sit on an open window-sill after granted asylum before the mids and a pending impeachment trials rend him even more. useless in results to Putin!

MM Harris's avatar

the orange puppet (you know ... the one who is a self-proclaimed stable genius with a ton of "common sense") is so delusional and full of himself that he STILL has not figured out who the REAL master is. . . and neither has musk.

And so are all the Republican members of Congress who are failing to exercise their constitutional powers to protect America from Trump's lunacies.

Agree…Haven’t you heard that Geniuses are crazy and he believes these women want him and not his money🤣 but he wouldn’t ever admit it, and having a kid just secures their future…

Amnos Storm's avatar

Mike Pence is pathetic. If he has a spine, say what he wants to say in Trump's face; follow his wife and dont shake hands with the guy who incited a mob to hang him.

Bonnie Bee's avatar

I did admire "Mother" Karen Pence's gumption at Jimmy Carter's funeral, to purposefully not stand up for Trump and not shake hands. Why can more Pols not have some balls.

Nancy Bari's avatar

The women know how to send a message. The guys at like good old boys.

Bambi Vargo's avatar

I know he can be pathetic, but he is the only reason Dump was not sworn in as president four years ago.

MM Harris's avatar

but he also had to solicit 4-5 people for advice first and oddly enough, it was Dan Quail, of all people, who convinced him to do the right thing.

Mary R Manship's avatar

He is not spineless! He was the only one that did his duty on Jan 6 th! I agree with his remarks. How would you like a target painted on your and your family without any security?

Amnos Storm's avatar

Mike Pence counted the votes on Jan 6 not because he had a spine nor because he wanted to fulfill his duty. He very much wanted to obey Trump and actively looked for ways on how he could legally do what Trump wanted him to do. It was Judge Luttig who told him that he had no legal authority to do what Trump wanted, and it was his fear for the legal consequences that he did count the votes, not because he thought it was the righteous thing to do. It was no heroic act. He was pleading with MAGA that it wasn't that he didn't want to obey Trump, he just couldn't.

"White House NEC Director Kevin Hassett tells Fox that it is still Biden’s fault that eggs are expensive: “Nobody can buy an egg in the grocery store because Joe Biden killed all the chickens.”"

I guess nobody told this idiot about bird flu!

Shantha Smith's avatar

Wish they would ask an actual chicken farmer about bird flu. There are times when farmers push back on requests to kill their animals. This is not one of them. They know their animals will all die anyway. The sooner they kill them, hopefully the less it spreads. But not killing them doesn't save any birds. At some point ignoring science and truth is going to teach people a horrific lesson.

Bob's avatar

And, as I said in reply to Linda, those chicken barns need to be cleaned after the chickens are gone before any new chickens are brought in. Time is money, especially on a farm.

My bet is Kevin Hassett wouldn’t know a chicken if one sat in his lap and called him momma.

Fraser's avatar

Need to find a dumb, lonely chicken too!!

Barb O's avatar

Probably not. They didn't learn a thing with COVID. Now, other infectious diseases are spreading. Texas has two cells of measles outbreaks. The source is not immigrants, but Amish who don't believe in vaxxing. It will get worse. When a number of kids die, maybe someone will do something. Or maybe, they will just bury the news and let others suffer. Because that is what they want.

Linda's avatar

Sick of them blaming Biden when this is happening under Trump…

Bob's avatar

Plus, Biden didn’t order the destruction of chickens. He doesn’t have to. Farmers aren’t going to risk having infected it birds infect anything else, plus, once they clear all the infected/exposed chickens out of a barn, it has to be cleaned thoroughly.

MM Harris's avatar

U surprised? (and....... "her emails!")

Diane in Ohio's avatar

Now that Lindsey Graham has told Trump about the rare minerals in Ukraine, Trump doing everything he can to extort Zelensky, like the mob boss he is. Everything is a transaction.

Kudos to Zelensky for standing his ground, and to European nations for supporting him. The behavior of Trump, Vance, and Hegseth this past week made me sick.

T L Mills's avatar

I think it made the Europeans nauseous, too. And, it made them pretty damn mad. If nothing else, the arrogant stupidity embedded in the speech by Vance and the absolute ignorance revealed by Hegseth in his, may cause the European nations to firm up their own resolve.

Fraser's avatar

Graham is just a leech and always was! Probably takes collections at his local church!

Oaktown's avatar

Cheers for PM candidate Chrystia Freeland. Please, Canadians, do put a 100% tariff on Teslas! And cheers for your jeers to our national anthem in response to the outrageous disrespect displayed by our orange monkey to your great country; Cap'n Bone Spurs earned it "bigly."

I hope Chinese consumers also wake up and boycott Tesla now that they've seen Musk assumes no responsibility for its defects. They have much better and cheaper Chinese made options available.

MM Harris's avatar

I LOVE everything the Canadian govt AND most of their citizens are doing (on their own) to thwart the orange scourge.

Comment on “He who saves his country…” Courtesy of Alexander Hamilton:

When a man unprincipled in private life, desperate in his fortune, bold in his temper, possessed of considerable talents, having the advantage of military habits — despotic in his ordinary demeanour — known to have scoffed in private at the principles of liberty — when such a man is seen to mount the hobby horse of popularity — to join in the cry of danger to liberty — to take every opportunity of embarrassing the General Government & bringing it under suspicion — to flatter and fall in with all the non sense of the zealots of the day — It may justly be suspected that his object is to throw things into confusion that he may ‘ride the storm and direct the whirlwind.

Fraser's avatar

Yes, hi job is to attract attention from Musk, through "diversion by irrelevant objection" while Musk gets all this info to make sure to devise a plan for staying in power-since they know they will burn down in the mid-terms, they can really pin-point their focus on social media with people's incomes etc. down to subtle threats and bribery or whatever it takes-oh, free pardons!! Lots of folks in prisons!!

Michael hart's avatar

Your not talking about FELON47# ?

Sherrell Salas's avatar

Trump posted on Truth Social this weekend: “He who saves his Country does not violate any Law.”

Trump is Soooo confused. He thinks he's Robin Hood EXCEPT the illiterate doesn't realize Robin Hood took from the RICH and gave to the POOR. Not the reverse the dummy.

Donna R.'s avatar

My take on that statement is another message to his private Jan. 6 militia. They won't be charged in any future violence.

MM Harris's avatar

Interesting. I had not thought of that angle but still lean more towards protecting ONLY himself by "warning" everyone that he is all powerful and nobody should even try to stop him.

T L Mills's avatar

Which, all by itself, puts forth a stench of fear and desperation. If he was such a strong person or his position was strong he wouldn't have to post such crapola.

MM Harris's avatar

he's following vlad's play book and specific instructions ... and we all know who the real boss man is...

MM Harris's avatar

He's trying to 1) continue selling himself as a savior sent by God ("Only I can save you.."), while also 2) setting himself up to be seen as ABOVE any law (standard priority bullet point in "How To Become A Dictator" ....... and "ABOVE THE LAW" means no co-equal branches of our govt, no checks and balances, NOBODY and NOTHING to get in the way of his doing whatever he wants.

Ellyn's avatar

Ted Cruz may be for sale-but who in their right mind would buy him??

Oaktown's avatar

Apparently too many people in TX; they keep reelecting him.

Linda (Evanston IL)'s avatar

Russian election interference is what re-elected Cancun Cruz. Bomb threats on Election Day, etc

Oaktown's avatar

And the fact that Cancun Cruz is bought and paid for by powerful oil and gas industry moguls.

MM Harris's avatar

yep, even after he tried to run away and hide in Mexico when their entire power grid failed during horrific winter weather...... the number of people who simply do not pay ANY attention to what is going on is staggering

Alexis's avatar

Nah Texans knew and many were pissed

Oaktown's avatar

Did they vote? Those Texans could exercise a lot of political power if they organized right now to get out the 2026 vote and push back on their reps in Congress who are enabling Numbnuts and his Muskrats.

More eligible voters in 2024 did not vote than voted for our orange monkey. Campaigns often ignore millions of poor voters who are checked out of politics because no campaign ever approaches them or seems to care.

Ellyn's avatar

Huh. If anyone, I would’ve thought Russia… I figured they picked up the tab and Texans got him for free. 🤔

Tammy Scott's avatar

Not all of us I voted for Allred.

Alexis's avatar

Intelligent Texans who never voted for him don't want him but he's like a disease we can't get rid of!

Oaktown's avatar

Yes, there are many intelligent moral Texans. I was a huge fan of one of the most prominent: the great Ann Richards. If anyone hasn't already seen the documentary on her (All About Ann), it's full of examples of her wit, courage, brilliance, and steel spine. We need more women like her to run in TX and all the red states.

Fraser's avatar

Not the brightest state of the bunch!!

Fraser's avatar

Probably double your money with the Martians for research on defenders-of-Musk!

Lulu Manus's avatar

Trump's self-serving drivel. Who is going to save us from this maggot?

Linda's avatar

Hopefully all of us if we nag the House and the Senate…I would like to nag the Supreme Court also…There are rallies starting up all over the Country…It’s a start…

Bluesmurf's avatar

Each day brings another nightmarish folly. Hats off to the military children who walked out on the Hegseths. They want an education, not a brainwashing. When you lose the support of the children of active duty military, you really should take a good look at yourself and make a change for the better. Can't say I expect it though; if Pete Hegseth was able to assess himself honestly, he would never have accepted the President's nomination.
