You asked why people read the Sunday bulletin less. I really can’t tell you why because I try to read every word you write no matter what day it is.

John Schwarzkopf's avatar

You and me both! If Ron writes it I read it!

LHS's avatar

Ron is the reason I subscribed a few months ago! I can't miss his summaries.

Cherae Stone's avatar

As do I! I look forward to these updates every week.

Helen Felsing's avatar

I just recently signed up for an unpaid subscription in order to check out Meidas. I never click on the videos because the graphics seem sensationalist to me, but I've been reading Ron Filipkowsiki's work and really like it. (Finally today I watched Katie Couric's long interview of the 3 brothers behind Meidas. I was impressed and now will try to sample the videos.) Anyway, long story short, I love this Weekend Bulletin, Ron, and I hope you keep it up!

SFGal's avatar

Including the DT Rock Star humor in closing! OMG! Gag me with a . . . anything handy! Honestly don't know whether to laugh or cry in utter shame and disbelief!

SFGal's avatar

Totally . . . it was a visceral response!

Sheri Smith's avatar

Trump is delusional and embarrassing.

MM Harris's avatar

"Who cares whether I said trillion or million or billion: all the same to me..."

WJB Motown's avatar

Ted Nugent plus Kid Rock == The Orange Combover Kid Nugent crush democracy, destroy America world tour.......hits the road to destruction.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

I think that was a response to The Boss criticising him.

He just can't take it.

May Lee's avatar

Absolutely correct!! Bruce would be howling with laughter if it wasn't so disgusting.

Oaktown's avatar

He's a petty loser who marinates in jealousy for all he knows are superior to him.

NoBumperStickers's avatar

I despise that animal torturer Ted Nugent. I never cared for his lousy music growing up in the 70s. There are way better guitarists than that jerk.

SFGal's avatar

No freakin' kidding, starting with Springsteen. Speaking of "atrophied skin," maybe DT has amnesia about RFKJ who looks positively mummified.

PlasticFish's avatar

Nugent put out a song called "Storm Troopin'", and he and I were over and done. That was 50 years ago.

(He's one of those people who can "shred" and thus impress folks with little actual musical knowledge or experience, but is not really a very interesting or creative player.)

PlasticFish's avatar

(A bit like Yngwe Malmsteen, but without the showmanship or class.)

Mike Massey's avatar

I share all Bulletins with 7 other people whom I’ve told to let me know at any point if they want me to stop. None have, and we all know why.

Oaktown's avatar

If you stopped sharing them, perhaps they'd be more likely to actually subscribe.

Cherie's avatar

In the age of information overload, I make sure to follow Ron above all others. Keep up the good work…we need you !

Randy S. Eisenberg's avatar

Been forgetting to stop by, I love the wrap-up. (Ending with that photo did, of course, cause me to throw up in my mouth just a little.)

Wandawoman's avatar

I read this every day and look forward to it. Most informative read on the internet!

Corlis Robe's avatar

I have the app read it to me.. 🦧

Jackie Kimpton's avatar

Me too! It’s the best news summary around!

Maryooch's avatar

I know I read your Sunday bulletin on Monday morning. I try to mentally take Sundays off. Thanks for all the good work!

PlasticFish's avatar

Eh? The Sunday bulletins are one of the reasons I subscribed.

Francesca Reitano's avatar

True Debra! Me too! And I share with my friends, including a friend’s free newsletter. It’s a great way to catch up on news I missed, and get Ron’s take on news I’ve seen in the past day or two. A win either way.

Wandawoman's avatar

I think people tend to take a break from this political disaster on weekends. Everyone needs a day or two of peace each week to prepare for the next week’s disasters. Perhaps that why less read the weekend bulletin.

Oaktown's avatar

Me too ... and on days I missed them I read them the next day.

Perhaps some people are busy on Sun. returning from weekend trips or catching up on work not done over the weekend and going to bed early; then the week hits them with more to do, so they don't try to catch up.

Fraser's avatar

Me too! I need the truth everyday, including the Bible!!

Murph's avatar

exactly. salivating hyenas picking over a carcass. why don't Jake and all the rest of the pack look inward and ask themselves why they didn't - and still don't - call out trump for every vile and destructive thing he does on a daily basis.

SFGal's avatar

Absolutely despicable, for shame denigrating a man who has done much for our nation. What sadness and pain for the Biden family compounded by the heartless corporate make-a-fast buck media! Tears for America!

Deborah Hunter's avatar

So sad. I'm sure Biden's diagnosis won't STFU of the MAGAs. Will be disgusting to see Tapper promote his book on the back of a man with a terminal diagnosis.

SFGal's avatar

I'm sickened by the DJTJ sleazy attack he put out. No depths deep enough for that horrible family! Some rumors Tapper may cancel the book tour, but I doubt it. Take care. (:

Oaktown's avatar

He absolutely should. Just watched Hakeem Jefferies' press conference today; he was asked twice about that damn book ... and they were both the first two questions asked.

Jefferies' response was good. First he expressed his sincere concern and sympathy for the Biden family; then he pivoted to issues that are pressing and far more important than Tapper's opportunist book. He threw the Maggots' own talking point back at 'em: We must move forward, not backward. No doubt that only works for Maggots when they're talking about insurrections and pardoning criminals who beat up the Capitol police and desecrate the Capitol.

SFGal's avatar

And now the Ashli Babbitt family awarded $5 million of our tax dollars for her unlawful breaching of the Capitol! Life truly through the looking glass these days! The Red Queen off with everyone's heads! It's an onslaught!

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

That implies that Tapper and his colleagues have functioning consciences.

NoBumperStickers's avatar

Because their CEOs are scared of being sued by Trump. When Biden was president they didn't worry about being sued and felt free to say anything about President Biden.

Oaktown's avatar

Makes them even more despicable.

Dee Joy's avatar

They're all the same character, that's why they don't call him out. They're in on it, they're all a big gang, part of the same grotesque team.

SFGal's avatar

So sad, so true! Collusion for greed as the ultimate goal and incentive. It's kind of interesting that a few months ago I saw a PBS doc on "Citizen Hearst" only to learn the parallel history of W.R. Hearst is starkly similar to Trump in so many respects, especially capturing the media, performing basically as a mob boss, actually fomenting the Spanish-American War.

Kathryn's avatar

Thank you for that.

I was just thinking about it and wanting to say it to his face and then slap that smile off of it.

I’m just disgusted and ashamed of the people at CNN.

SFGal's avatar

Me, too! Next in line of CNN jackals is that wretched smarmy barfy Scott Jennings!

Oaktown's avatar

He's at the head of the pack. I think he's planning to run for office. He was on Real Time last week.

SFGal's avatar

He fairly slobbers all over himself raving about his dear leader! He's had a recent hefty CNN yet undisclosed pay raise with a new long-term contract months in the haggling while over 200 CNN employees have recently been fired. He's also rumored to run for McConnell's Senate seat for the ultimate boot-licker! He's fortunately driving away even more CNN viewers!

Oaktown's avatar

Appropriate viewer response. I'm sticking to MTN and the many other superior podcasts available for those who want real news and in depth discussion on important issues. Trust is becoming an endangered species on so many levels—but we can always count on Ron's bulletins to tell it like it is and highlight much that's ignored by corporate media sellouts.

leslianne Lamonte's avatar

CNN went to the dark side a long time ago!!

Colleen McGloughlin's avatar

Not in a million billion or trillion years would I lower myself to do that. But I take your point. He is dead to me. Clooney, too. I never heard of the other guy.

NAHUM's avatar

Future is mid-terms 2026, then 2028.

Pat Robinson's avatar

While maybe not using those words, please tell CNN your feelings.

Liz's avatar

My thoughts exactly!! I hope their book tanks and the reviews are bad. I didn’t always agree with President Biden, but I won’t read a negative word about him now that he is out of office and especially managing this new reality.

Fuck “mainstream media” and CNN and Axios

AnneHG's avatar

I'm not Catholic, but I like Pope Leo XIV's direction so far. I wish for Pres. Biden complete healing and for Tapper and Thompson dismal book sales.

Colleen McGloughlin's avatar

And root canals, many root canals for Jake and friends.

Oaktown's avatar

I used to subscribe to a newsletter of Yiddish insults. My favorite one was "May all your teeth fall out except one, so that you may have a toothache."

🦷😆

I think I like you, friend!

leslianne Lamonte's avatar

I will not purchase nor read!

Since the $400 million plane is a gift to the American people, when can I use it to fly around the country and have some fun? How far in advance do I reserve my flight? Joke of the century.

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

Let's all submit our requests to use this "gift to the American people " to Trump.

Personally I'd love to recline in the airborne palace instead of stuffing myself into a Southwest seat to fly across country to visit family.

I feel sure that Donnie Two Dolls will understand...

Mike Massey's avatar

They said that the Plane would go to Trump’s Library that would feature a lot of works done in Sharpie. ‘would be a heckofa book-mobile.

SFGal's avatar

I insist that "Trump Library" is an oxymoron . . kinda like the moron man!

Lady Emsworth's avatar

That was my first thought, too!

Think of the millions of American parents who have to drive miles to collect their kids from college two or three times a year - this could make their lives SO much easier!

Dee Joy's avatar

Exactly what I thought.

Wow yay! Now I have a private jet, bora bora here we come lol! Ridiculous aren't they?

Matt Miller's avatar

Trump has truly sold America out while Cozying up with Terrorists Countries!

The Dictator has made clear his sole intention to make himself, his family, and his business partners rich, at the expense of the American people and Democracy!

Pat Robinson's avatar

Not just trump but the entire GOP and CNN as well as other corporate media. We may not be able to do much about the GOP but maybe by letting corporate media know why we are no longer watching it will at least let them know they really screwed America and in the long run themselves...I can't believe any of the persons that appear on any of these network news shows (I don't know what to call them..they are not journalists, not reporters, I guess just actors reading a script?) has any integrity at all or they would stand up and say I'm not going to whitewash trump and quit. I don't know if CNN has a facebook page but I may check it out just so I can leave comments asking them over and over and over why they whitewash the trump and GOP damage to democracy and why they do not call all of the out for their lies.

Linda's avatar

The only way to take power from the GOP is by voting them out…anything to get our Country back…

May Lee's avatar

CNN became FOX awhile ago.

Pat Robinson's avatar

Supported by the entire GOP Congress.

SFGal's avatar

Certainly no shame or subterfuge in all that!

opsan's avatar

Jake failed us. Too much time writing his fiction. This will bubble to the top, but in the meantime,

the Media is wasting time talking about a book instead of all of the other madness: https://bsky.app/profile/opsan.bsky.social/post/3lp7ikzkpzc2m

May Lee's avatar

Tapper is another sell out - losing his reputation just to make a buck - although who will be buying his book? MAGAs don't read.

Cherune Clewley's avatar

Based on the upcoming across the board crazy plans coming out of the White House and DOJ I would like to suggest the citizens of the US file a class action suite against the Entire Trump Admin and DOJ for insubordination to US Citizens, Misappropriation of US Funds, Flagrant Executive and Judicial Midnight actions against the Citizens of the US causing both Physical and mental trauma. But maybe that is too dramatic for the Orange toddler.

Linda Morway's avatar

I hope Trump can keep his filthy mouth shut about Biden now. What goes around comes around.

Cindi Keane's avatar

We can only hope. They should throw tRump out now for his demented mind and inability to read. He's a worthless POC.

Oaktown's avatar

Please, come around. Poetic justice would be for Numbnuts to have a massive stroke and end up drooling in a wheelchair.

Fucking Tapper’s new book should have been written about Trump who is the one with the REAL cognitive decline! Have these people forgotten about the word slurrings, “Hannibal Lecter”, sharks in the water, electricity, and the twisted word salad he continues to spew daily?

Oaktown's avatar

Why aren't the Dems relentlessly reminding the public of the Orange Tyrant's dementia?

Yes, it was evil to his cocaine sniffing core

Linda's avatar

I really believe Trump was using cocaine during his first term…I don’t know if anyone noticed how he would sniff and sniff while talking…Always made me wonder…

Jane Gutsell's avatar

I want to know why Kamala's husband Doug Emhoff did not resign from his law firm the minute it caved to this current outrage in the Oval Office. And Neal Katayal from his. Deeply disturbing as well as disappointing (a profound understatement).

SFGal's avatar

I've wondered the same, Jane! I'm with Marc Elias all the way!

Jane Gutsell's avatar

The 2nd gentleman and the husband of the Dem Presidential Nominee is not saying absolutely NOT to the tyrant his wife lost to? WTF?

Oaktown's avatar

Will be a serious impediment to her political reputation, as it should. Extremely disappointing.

He has been one of my heroes for years. I simply cannot believe this of him. I have noticed that Lawrence O'Donnell has stopped having him on his show. He used to be a regular. What the hell is happening to these honorable, principled people? They have tons of money and high reputations, positions of power. How can they be cowed?

Oaktown's avatar

Unforgivable. I was also a fan of Katyal. Not anymore. He and Emhoff are giving the Dems a worse reputation than the polls already showed.

Jeanette Kimball's avatar

I hadn’t heard about Neil very , very disappointed

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

I'm waiting for that carrion crow, Maureen Dowd of the NYT, to throw Jake a pity party because Biden had the gall to be diagnosed with cancer just as Jakey's shilling his book.

Colleen McGloughlin's avatar

I hate her, too. Root canals also for Maureen.

Margie Reinitz's avatar

Wait, hormone treatment for Biden... isn't that gender affirming care? The republican Nazis won't ok that; or maybe they will because Biden isn't a woman in need of immediate life- saving healthcare...

SFGal's avatar

Indeed, what inhumane cruelties will be unleashed by the soulless in Joe's time of need? Leave the man and his family alone! Let them live in peace!

SFGal's avatar

Many times over and over! Hosannas to your name!

CE's avatar

Do we think that Jake and Alex, and the media at large..might show a little grace and back off? The Democratic Party cannot change the past, we made an egregious error in trying for a second term for Biden despite the enormity of the danger posed by his opponent… we don’t have to make every day, Groundhog Day. Let’s move forward and kick some butt in the midterms, create majorities in the House and Senate, and get some work done for the American people while putting a muzzle on Donnie Two-Dolls.

Arlyn Newcomb's avatar

Those in charge of the party clearly haven't learned a gd thing and keep doubling down on the use of an old, outdated playbook, while standing in the way of the younger generation who do have better ideas about how to confront this crisis. They *should* be called out for that. Not that they're capable of hearing it, but the rank and file can. Voters can. The dinosaurs have to go as fast as elections can sweep them out, together with their protégés.

SFGal's avatar

You're right -- time's a-wasting. Make the Dem hand-wringing and pearl-clutching STOP! What's it going to take for them to ally with talented newer generation leadership before it's too late? How blind can my lifelong party be? I'm scared!

CE's avatar

Let’s do it in the midterms. The old guard is there because we elect them, and, as you say, we voters can change it. We can bring about the change that we need if we’re focused. In the meantime, we must email and call our elected folks and demand action. If they don't respond, let’s find representation that will.

Barb O's avatar

What are their "new" ideas, exactly? And how will they accomplish them? Inquiring mind wants to know.

Arlyn Newcomb's avatar

They are too numerous to enumerate. To learn more and keep tabs on developments, I recommend following representatives under 50, especially black and indigenous women, any way you can. These folks know how to organize, they are typically good communicators, they are willing to take risks to do what's right, and they have quickly learned the ropes.

Barb O's avatar

I would still like to know at least several of those too numerous ideas. Thanks.

Arlyn Newcomb's avatar

I have neither the time nor the inclination to do your ongoing homework for you. That's your job as a citizen.

Neesey Coyne's avatar

I used to like Tapper.

What an asshole..

Madam Geoffrin's avatar

Trump was normalized by Mitch McConnell and the cowardly Republicans. That’s all the energy I can muster tonight.

Ash's avatar

Unless those tasked by the constitution enact it, it won’t matter what trump and co do bc they’re free to keep doing it. Simple. Without action you might as well tear up the physical constitution bc you’ve already shredded it in practice!!!!
