It's my understanding that sun exposure accelerates the appearance of wrinkles in Asian

Yes, but it could also mean that the Asians are so vilified by this administration that in general they have to "hide in the shadows" to protect themselves from violence..

Here is what I was told. Asians try to stay out of the sun as a tan would indicate that the family worked in the fields. Therefore, they try not to tan so they don't look poor. I know this sounds bad but I was told this while I was visiting Beijing several years ago. If this is not true, this is what I was told. I would love to know if it is indeed true. I do know that while I was there, most of the women I saw were under umbrellas to block the sun as they were going about their business.
