I hear you, my friend, my emotions are up and down on a daily basis. Be sure to take some breaks. I met some good friends (Trump supporters, whom I love) I had not seen in a long while. It was so Good to Laugh. I forgot about politics for the most part. The only political thing I brought up was about my Social Security worries. My friend was not Trump gung-ho. He said he didn’t “think” we would lose our SS. He’s wealthy and has other income, but also collects SS. Hang in there. We are all with you
Thank you "Cats" and Sheryl. You're so sweet. I have well to do Trumper family.and we'te all on SS and Medicare too (my friends are liberal Dems. I was always centrist. Moderate. Now I'm loving Bernie Sanders and AOC!) who I love and can't give up. They voted for him fiscally 💰 I don't see them that often and we never discussed politics unless once in a.while they would throw in a.Dementia Joe crack or something the "illegals". Ugh.. No one could have expected Elon and DOGE. Trump is much more erratic and there are no adults in the room anywhere like 1.0. I appreciate the support. No one in my world wants to talk about it. 🙏

I don't even know what the chats or notes are but one day I commented to someone on a note (usually I get the email and go directly to the sub, but that day I must have been on the app and the home page) and it got restacked 130 times and I'm private so I couldn't believe it. I have subs to almost 30 substacks including Aaron so I am also overwhelmed by the emails and the videos and chats all day long. I'm losing control of my inbox. I haven't even watched my beloved Popok in a few weeks and Legal AF is starting its own substack. I subscribed but there are no posts yet.
But just when I have one foot out the window, I pull it back in and go to Andy Borowitz (The Borowitz Report). He is a seriously brilliant comedian/satirist/writer (TV shows and movies also) and you can get the short newsletter for free but you have to pay to to read and comment. Worth every dime to me. The comments are EVERYTHING. Pure comedy gold 😂 The other morning I woke up at 4:30 am because I couldn't sleep and he was one of the first of my first emails of day. I had to put a pillow over my mouth I was laughing so hysterically. I didn't want to wake my next door neighbor and that was before I even looked at a comment. It's just HIM. He can get thousands of comments. I wish I could write like that. That's my really happy place after doom scrolling.
Yes, I'm 67 and struggle daily not to give in to the terror of losing my SS. Or even gaps in receiving the payments. This is horrible what musk has been permitted to do to us.

You might like Josh Johnson on You Tube. He is a stand up comedian and also wrote for the Daily Show. Very interesting and bright young man.
