I’m really not gloating…just laughing uncontrollably at all the insanity these folks have invoked…planning for maybe 30 years? Really? Really? THIS is what is meaningful to peoples’ lives? What I am saddest about is the state of evolution of so many people in our country. Who knew? I was blindsided when Hillary lost…and have had lots of therapy understanding what it was in me that I allowed these people to hook me into bouts of uncontrollable rage. How could I have been so naive? I refuse to hate anyone, ever, but this past decade has challenged my basic beliefs about any and all people on the planet. I’m in recovery now: I stopped watching or reading any news November 5th, 2024. I have been in seclusion since my husband passed over 11/11/24. I’m blessed with a tribe of family and friends who all believe in the power of love towards everyone I meet. Love is love. I will stand in the light, and speak from the light. I believe we have each been given this life on Earth as a gift to learn how to be the best human I can be. I have free choice about everything I do. Have I made bad behavior choices? OF COURSE I have! I’m 78. The good news is I’ve always wanted to learn, to be curious, been open to everyone’s religions, to understand an out-of-control ego is my own worst enemy. If I believe money and power and expensive stuff will make me happy,…well, then I’m in trouble! I am blessed very early in life from my folks who loved and appreciated the land, they made everything better than they found it: would enrich the soil in our vegetable gardens with compost, plant trees in the woods, we ate the finest home grown vegetables and fruits. The worst sin I could ever commit was lying. I never did, out of the fear of my Father’s wrath and my Mother’s disappointment. My Dad’s admonition to being a good person: “Trust your own conscience. Listen to your inner voice and you will always know what to do.” “Leave the world better than when you found it.” He had no use for liars, thieves, conmen, people who used others, etc.
So, today, I’m breathing a little more easily, saying prayers of Thanksgiving for all the good in the world…and knowing that world peace is possible and it’s up to you and me to create that future. There is a spark of the Divine in each of us…sometimes we don’t know that, or it’s covered over by deep inner wounds. What we can do is let our light shine through compassion, kindness, sharing, loving our neighbor as ourselves…we really have no enemies. I understand how you feel and have to fight with myself every day to not hate this regime. Do I like these people? No. I don't want to hate them either. For me, hate would be putting myself on their level. I, instead, make fun of how stupid they are, how ignorant, how money hungry (money doesn't buy happiness - it just make life easier). The cruelty they impose, I imagine that it is them receiving that cruelty and pray for those that are on the receiving end, that they can endure what is happening to them and to promise myself that I will always try to help anyone in need that I can. I’ll disagree with the last part. Trump has a unique, sick charisma that dies when he dies. I don’t think whomever he appoints will generate the same cult following. Strangely, Trump’s death may release the cult members from their trancelike state. If Trump isn’t there to tell them what to think and do, some may actually try to think for themselves.
