You are 100% correct. I still don't understand why Comey did what he did but he set the stage for the entrance of the orange monstrosity we have in office now. Comey was aided and abetted by a two-faced liar who said after Dump's impeachment, "We don't want to undermine 'President Trump.'" That was Moscow Mitch. He had help from that sniveling weasel, Lindsey, and other boot-licking MAGATS.
The worst was SCOTUS giving him immunity. At that point, there was no stopping him and he advanced to the seat with a jubilant Project 2025. As we see today, nothing that Dumpty has ever said can be trusted. That goes double for the imps in his cabinet. What they don't seem to recognize is how unwell he is mentally and physically, and how quickly he will go from praising someone as "great" to "overrated" as he's done with several military generals who ran to his side believing he stood for what the GOP used to be about.
Of course, we know what he did to Michael Cohen. That alone--even outside of his philandering and burying the mother of his three eldest children on his golf course and cavorting with an adult film star as his Slovenian immigrant was about to give birth to his youngest child, his bankruptcies, his cheating investors and constant lies should have been key to keeping him out of America's White House.
