No disrespect at all (do what you need to do to keep your sanity), but we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one!!!

Guys, you need to realize that as long as we continue to WATCH our beloved nighttime lineup on MSNBC, THOSE ARE THE HOSTS THAT WILL KEEP THE NETWORK PROFITABLE! The higher ups at MSNBC know that the likes of Rachel and Lawrence will be hard to give up, and so they can spout their STATE TV bullshit during the day and early evening hours.

WHAT WOULD I LOVE TO SEE?

Rachel and Lawrence and all of the GOOD GUYS from MSNBC strike out and start their own online newscasts on a substack or podcast or something like that. I WOULD SUPPORT THEM AS A FOUNDING MEMBER (just like MTN and the others I currently support financially). However, as much as we love them, I doubt that they will ever give up their multi-million dollar salaries. To me, it's more important to tank the network to keep them off the goddamn air! I'D LOVE FOR THE NETWORKS TO LEARN THAT LYING OUTRIGHT OR NORMALIZING ERRANT, DISGUSTING, AND TRAITOROUS BEHAVIOR will NOT be rewarded with ratings!!!

But like I said up front, I totally get where you're coming from and all of you good people need to do whatever it takes to keep you strong and sane in the coming years!!! We SINCERELY, LOVE YOU ALL, MEIDAS MIGHTY and we WILL get through this together!!!!!!! GO MTN...GO BLUE!

Once people like Nicole, Ari, Lawrence, Rachel, etc., start leaving then I'll abandon MSNBC. I don't care about MSNBC's, etc., profits, I care about good, bold journalists reaching not just blue people like me, but people who aren't. But in the meantime, I'm supporting journalists on Meidas and other platforms.

Like I said, we all need to do what feels right for us! Maybe different approaches will give the best overall results…

I hope so, Sharon. Meanwhile, what I think is most important, is that we start supporting and building up alternate platforms, like Meidas, The Bulwark, etc., because all of these MSM platforms are going to continue to degrade. The Washington Post is bleeding talent and will soon be another right wing rag. And that is what I requested of Rachel and Lawrence, even saying that if they can’t start their own, resign and join MTN. They would be invaluable.
