Trump’s DOJ Is Officially Conspiring with a Convicted Sex Trafficker

Donald Trump’s handpicked Deputy Attorney General just spent two full days meeting with Ghislaine Maxwell, and it reeks of corruption, cover-ups, and something even darker.

By Ben Meiselas

I don’t even know how to say this in a way that sounds less insane, but here we are. Donald Trump’s Department of Justice just wrapped up two days of in-person meetings with Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted sex trafficker who helped Jeffrey Epstein abuse underage girls. This happened. In the Tallahassee federal courthouse.

And Maxwell? She left the meeting smiling. Her lawyers beaming. According to them, things are looking very “positive.” Translation? She’s expecting a pardon, a retrial, or a get-out-of-jail-free card from her old pal Donald Trump.

This is what justice looks like under a second Trump regime: A sex trafficker is treated like a foreign dignitary getting a state visit, while her victims are ignored and told their stories of abuse are a “hoax.” The DOJ doesn’t ask them for evidence. They go straight to the abuser.

Let me spell out the key players here. Maxwell’s lawyer, David Oscar Markus, just met with Todd Blanche—Trump’s own former criminal defense attorney, now installed as Deputy Attorney General. Blanche and Markus are close. I mean really close. Don’t take my word for it. They said it on a podcast last month. Blanche gushed about Markus being “the best out there,” even calling him a “friend.”

And now these two buddies are meeting behind closed doors with one of the worst sex traffickers in modern history to “gather information”... about what exactly? To protect whom?

Because here’s the other receipt: According to The Wall Street Journal, the 300GB of Epstein files in the DOJ’s possession include Donald Trump’s name all over them. But instead of releasing those files, they’re giving Maxwell a private audience. You don't need to cut a deal with a trafficker if you’re not trying to hide something.

And yes, Trump is already floating a potential pardon for Maxwell. “I haven’t thought about it,” he says. “But I could.”

Wink, wink.

Let’s not forget—back in 2020, when Maxwell was arrested, Trump didn’t denounce her. He said “I wish her well.” He said it again when pressed. That’s not normal. That’s not innocent. That’s protective.

You want to know who they aren’t meeting with? Victims like Maria Farmer or any of the Jane Does. They made no attempt to meet with Virginia Giuffre, who was just 17 when Epstein and Maxwell pulled her from the spa at Mar-a-Lago. She died by suicide this year. Her story? Swept aside so Trump’s DOJ could entertain her trafficker.

Trump’s long history with Maxwell is well-documented. There are photos, letters, even an old article from 1997 where British tabloids literally describe Maxwell as introducing “her attractive friends” to Trump after his divorce, like some kind of madam.

Meanwhile, Trump tries to deflect, ranting about Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and Larry Summers. “Why aren’t you talking about them?” he whines. Because you’re the one in power, Donald. You’re the one who installed your criminal defense attorney to run the Justice Department. And you’re the one covering this up.

This isn’t just about Epstein. It’s about corruption. Power. And how the Republican Party has morphed into a pedophile cover-up ring in plain sight. That’s not hyperbole. That’s reality. This happened.

We will not stop reporting on it. We will not stop demanding the release of every file, every name, and every truth this government is trying to bury.

The victims deserve better. This country deserves better.
