2000 National Guard and 700 Marines in a city of 3.8 million. I hate to nitpick, but the numbers aren’t on their side.

Don't forget, Trump has set this up as great TV. You don't need overwhelming numbers when the camera zooms in on one burning Waymo or a single protestor reacting.

There aren't many protestors. There are pockets of 10's of people in most places. And no news source I have come across estimates number of protestors from any event. The photos are revealing, however. .

The deployment of the National Guard, not to mention a battalion of Marines, is obscenely obvious overreach and defiant abuse of the military.

I hope these soldiers have the sense to know what they have been commanded to do is unconstitutional and immoral, and that that understanding makes a difference in their behavior towards their fellow humans. And I hope they are given somewhere to eat, sleep, and use the toilet.

The way this corrupt administration is presenting this, it’s as if Los Angeles is this tiny city when it’s actually 469 square miles with a population of 3.8 million people.
