I left July 4 both pissed and inspired to work harder. I wanted to urgently write to you, since it seems we are heading into a new phase of the Trump regime. He will escalate. We will need to fight back harder.
Before getting into my observations, I want to say thanks to our current subscribers to this Substack.
If you are reading this and you are not a subscriber, we need you more than ever right now, so please subscribe today to this Substack.
The MeidasTouch Network has grown with no investors and we need to keep this momentum by growing our subscribers today.
Trump’s propaganda event at the White House on July 4 was bizarre and dystopian.
Trump continued to lie about the disaster budget bill that he signed into law. I am quite confident he never read the bill.
Trump claims the bill provides for no tax on Social Security, which is not in the bill at all. Trump claims the bill does not touch Medicaid, which is egregiously false.
Trump’s latest line he said yesterday was that the bill is going to keep you alive—and if it was not passed, you would have died.
He says the most absurdly false things over and over again.
At the event yesterday, Trump spent millions of our taxpayer dollars to have a B2 Stealth Jet fly over the White House with other fighter jets.
He posted photos of the propaganda images on his social media all night.
Trump did not address the tragedy that struck Kerr County, Texas yesterday, where flash floods from the Guadalupe River caused at least 13 people to die and 23 young girls from a summer camp called Camp Mystic to be unaccounted for.
Sadly, the death toll is expected to rise.
Trump does not give a crap about the duties of his office.
If he did, he would at the very least show empathy for what had taken place and address the disaster in a timely manner.
One of the stories that has gone underreported—except on the MeidasTouch Network and a few others—is the amount of deadly natural disasters over the past few months across the United States and Trump’s refusal to even acknowledge the disasters are taking place.
Trump sees storms and the resultant death as a sign of weakness, so he refuses to so much as acknowledge it—just as he did with COVID.
As you may know, Trump is in the process of defunding FEMA, NOAA, and NWS.
I don’t think it’s inappropriate to be asking how impaired our weather systems are right now and whether they are capable of detecting storms and issuing the appropriate warnings, and the correlation with the recent fatal events.
This is especially important as we are in hurricane season.
I woke up this morning after the events of yesterday, recognizing how important it’s going to be for the people to fight back harder against Trump.
I saw a ton of No Kings Parades that popped up across the nation yesterday. We covered it on the MeidasTouch Network, while corporate news refused to cover it. Corporate news was focused on Trump’s propaganda and portraying Trump getting the disaster budget bill passed as a “win.”
I wanted to send this to you this morning since I know these last few weeks have probably worn you out a bit. We had a ton of momentum with the No Kings Protests from last month, but I know it must feel tiresome day in and day out dealing with this demented regime as we head into the dog days of summer.
I wanted you to hear from me directly that the MeidasTouch Network is not going anywhere. We have a great announcement this week about expansion into Canada I can’t wait to share. We are hiring more hosts and editors and producers. Days like yesterday actually inspire us to grow faster and bigger and smarter to adapt to the changing tactics of the regime.
We are here to listen to you. We are here to fight for you. We are here to keep building the news network you always wanted as corporate news has failed. We will never submit. We will go on the offense. We will reclaim our nation together.
Please subscribe to the MeidasTouch Substack today and support our independent reporting. We get more views than any cable news network and more podcast downloads than Joe Rogan, and we’ve done it with zero investors. That’s why we need to keep growing our subscribers—to compete and win against these entities being run by Trumper billionaires.
I am ready to fight harder and build the MeidasTouch Network even bigger.
For inspiration, rent the movie (On Amazon for $5) called The Singing Revolution about how Estonia claimed it's independence from Soviet occupation in 1991. It all began with music, which bonded and unified the Estonians with the love they had for their country. And not a drop of blood was shed. Reminds me of the song We are the World. If only....
Our most important task is being as vocal as possible about voter suppression & election fraud
I also feel the weather story needs to go viral. Authorities in Texas are flat out blaming the inaccurate forecasting. That's what was happening with tornadoes this past spring. So many died - didn't hear a peep from the administration & barely on the news.
