URGENT Sunday Message from Meidas Founder

Hey, everyone. It’s Ben Meiselas, co-founder of the MeidasTouch Network. It’s Sunday. This is my favorite post of the week where we can spend some time together, have a coffee or a beverage, and reflect on the week. And what a week it has been. Before going on, I want to thank our subscribers to this Substack and remind anyone who hasn’t subscribed to please do so now, since the fight is heating up and we are winning the information war thanks to you. Donald Trump is the first president to leave the country during a shutdown. It’s not a shocker he left to go to Malaysia. He hates America. He hates the people. He sends $40 billion to Argentina while Americans lose healthcare, SNAP, and other essential services. Trump has torn down the East Wing of the White House this week to build a golden ballroom. He says he is also focused on building a “Triumphal Arch” dedicated to himself. He threw a tantrum yesterday over Canada running an ad in the United States that quotes Ronald Reagan, who hated tariffs. Trump says the actual words of Ronald Reagan are “AI” and that Reagan “loved tariffs,” which is entirely false. Trump has spent the weekend continuing to engage in chemical warfare against peaceful communities, with ICE throwing gas canisters containing noxious substances at civilians.

Through all of this, the resistance has gotten stronger. Trump’s approval is plummeting. I feel MeidasTouch has played a part in pushing back against the firehose of propaganda by getting out the truth and now getting more views than Fox, and we continue to beat Joe Rogan in audio downloads. Trump thought his actions would break us. He thought we’d all behave like MAGA sycophants, the way MAGA Mike and others in the MAGA cult behave. We have not given up our agency and our freedom to him despite his efforts. He will continue to try and scare us and demoralize us. We will be resilient and fight and never back down.

Trump’s approval has never been lower. You wouldn’t know that watching corporate news, which normalizes his behavior. His approval with Latinos and young people has crashed, as it has across all other demographics and age groups. Now is the time we need to show courage and fight back more than ever. You have the power to save our country, and you’ve been doing an amazing and heroic job fighting with us for our country and for a better world.

I will be working on a lot of videos today, and my producer is telling me I need to record right now, so I will end by saying thank you. We are grateful to be here with you in the trenches together.
