Many of the laborers were immigrants from many countries. They worked for little money and were often forced to work overtime hours without extra pay. The unions stopped the companies from not paying what the workers were working for or worth. At least close to it. The unions stood up for the workers and they were so helpful in the fight against the owners of the companies.
I say the people that are getting deported some may be criminals some may have come here illegally but many are not the people that should be deported. They deserve the due process our constitution regulates for the people not just citizens only because we do not know each person’s situation and if we are doing the right thing by deporting them. Please help with the governments that have overpowered , overreached and stand in a protest soon. We all need to do our part to make America the democratic republic it was made to be. Make America the best we can make it to be.
I worked for DOL for about 20 years and every year, even after retirement was asked to celebrate the day by watching the parade from the roof of Main Labor.
Not this year.
This week we have another chance to ask some Congressional Republicans to stop this. Only need a few. Many Congressional Republicans privately admikt Trump is crazy.
I'd like to see someone paint a Hitler mustache and a swastika on Bone Spurs' forehead to properly anoint the banner of his hideous face hanging outside the DOL building.

I think more attention needs to be focused on Stephen Miller. I have no doubt that he is white supremacist and is the driving force behind the deportation of all immigrants. While I somewhat agree with removing dangerous criminals, the majority of those being removed are hard working immigrants along with innocent children. As Americans who call themselves Christians this war on immigrants should not be tolerated. After all what would Jesus say about this.
