Everyone should be pressuring them all. The ones who are already splintering may move all the way and bring some of the others with them. We have to up the calls and email campaigns to Congress every day. Pressure them even harder now that there is a crack in their dam and the water is breaking. We don't need a full dam break, but that would be awesome.
I do both. So many people are calling in, it is seldom you will speak with a human being. That doesn’t matter really unless you have unique unusual comment. For instance, thousands of calls are coming in to oppose the SAVE ACT or the current topic on the floor of House or Senate. The number of calls are counted! So every time you call, whether you leave a message or not, your call is counted. Calling your own State representatives at their state office locations usually will be answered by a human. Be nice, they are probably volunteers working or even paid, they are not remotely going to influence the decisions in the legislature. They will not saying anything accept your comment will be added thank you for calling. The main number for the WHITE HOUSE Switchboard 202-456-1111 or 202-456-1414. A Human will asked who You want to speak with so know that person, usually those from your home state or who is advancing the bill you are specifically concerned about OR for you want to thank! Just an YFI, you can watch Congress in Session live on C Span 2. It can be as interesting a watching paint dry or complete chaos or so stupid to be maddening. Whatever your interest or talent please peacefully RESIST NOW, waiting to vote in 2026 is the same as beating a dead horse and expecting it to win the trophy.
