The protests this weekend have me feeling energized. How about you?

This week is not going to be easy, but the Trump regime has already started the week embroiled in another massive scandal, as we learned yesterday that Pete Hegseth was sending war plans to his wife and brother in another Signal text chat.

The Trump regime is rotting from within at an exponential decay level.

They can say “fake news” over and over to their perverse delight, but this regime is cooked crisp and heading toward the dumpster.

The schtick has run thin.

The all-caps vomit-inducing posts are just gross.

The lies and gaslighting are obvious.

The cruelty is pathetic.

The raw incompetence and idiocy are humiliating on an international scale.

Trump and his MAGA minions look so very small.

They look weird and perverse.

Yes, they are still dangerous, but they look and act like weak, pathetic, vile fools.

I want you to approach this week by appreciating your power.

You have accomplished so much already.

You’ve stood up to an authoritarian regime and you’re not going to stop, are you?

You’ve shown what true patriotism is about.

You’ve held the line.

You’ve shared your stories, or you’ve attended rallies, or you comforted others, or you’ve volunteered your time—or all of the above.

You’ve sacrificed so much already, and you are seeing the results you are having. Trump did not break us. He made us stronger. He fortified this community.

I expect difficult days ahead.

Trump has taken steps that our adversaries could only dream of to harm our economy, to harm our alliances, and to harm our functioning government.

I think we have to take this in two steps.

First, we have to save our democracy. And second, we have to rebuild.

Trump will not go out quietly, and as his power diminishes, he will inflict maximum damage on our country.

We must have each other’s backs.

We must continue to take to the streets peacefully and in bigger numbers.

We must grow the resistance bigger.

There will come a time when we will need to rebuild everything from the devastation that has been caused. That will be a generational project—and a worthy one.

But for now, we chop wood.

Day in and day out.

We don’t cede an inch.

The streets, the courts, the media. We win it all.

We control the board and push back with the force as if our life depends on it—because it does.

We will not let the Trump regime break us.

We will never submit. We will fight. We will win.
