By Ben Meiselas
Yesterday went exactly as we predicted. We were prepared.
Trump had the El Salvadoran authoritarian leader Nayib Bukele in the White House. Bukele pretended he was not able to return Abrego Garcia. Trump said he could therefore not “facilitate the return” of Abrego Garcia.
Trump said he wanted to send “the home growns” to the El Salvador gulags—referring to American citizens—and asked Bukele to build five more prisons to house American citizens.
The Trump propagandists pretended Trump won the Supreme Court ruling 9–0 on Abrego Garcia, when in fact they lost 9–0.
The Trump regime says they will not return Abrego. Period. Full stop.
We predicted and planned for all of this.
Thanks to our subscribers of this Substack, our editorial team was prepared to cover this from every angle and on every detail (please subscribe now if you can).
We continue to lead all news networks in viewership, meaning we got the accurate data to the world and rebutted the false narratives that the corporate news intended to spread.
The MeidasTouch Network led coverage of the AOC and Bernie Sanders rally in Nampa, Idaho, where they filled up an arena of people in a red state. The people in Idaho are pissed at the destruction caused by the Trump regime. AOC and Bernie Sanders did not mince words in calling Trump out.
Trump’s approval continues to plummet. He is bringing the GOP down with him as well. The latest Morning Consult poll shows the GOP trailing Democrats in nearly all major issue areas, including the economy.
Yesterday we saw Harvard University stand up against the Trump regime and refuse to allow the regime to essentially take over the university. The Trump regime demanded it “audit” the political views of the Harvard students, assert itself in the admissions process, and eliminate all diversity programs. Harvard is represented by two very prominent Republican lawyers from big law firms who are standing up to the Trump regime.
The economic chaos persists. The business community has no clue what Trump is going to do from one minute to the next on tariffs or other policies. A majority of CEOs predict that Trump will force the United States into a recession. The impact of Trump’s reckless tariffs will start accelerating.
With all of this going on, the resistance continues to grow. The opposition gets stronger each day. We need more universities to resist the Trump regime. We need more law firms to resist the Trump regime. We need to use our platform at the MeidasTouch Network to empower the opposition here in the United States and internationally.
Some have described the current moment as a constitutional crisis. I disagree. We are beyond the constitutional crisis. Sadly, the United States is not free. The United States is ruled by a fascist regime with no regard for the Constitution or the laws. Lawless, reckless, deranged. That’s the Trump regime.
The question is, how do we respond? We all have roles to play in the opposition. The MeidasTouch Network filled the void left by the destruction of the Fourth Estate. You have made this possible. The Meidas Mighty made this possible. The subscribers of this Substack have made this possible.
It is a good development that more people watch MeidasTouch than any news network. It is good that more people download the MeidasTouch podcast than any other podcast. We are grateful that the MeidasTouch Substack has become the fastest-growing Substack channel in the world.
This is important so we can elevate the news that matters most in these uncertain times and be the network for the resistance. To be the network by the people, for the people. To cover the protests. To cover the shadow hearings. To cover the town halls. To cover the stories of Americans screwed over by Trump. To highlight the stories of labor and workers. To focus on the international resistance to Trump and other authoritarians.
We are deeply grateful for our subscribers here for helping our rapid expansion. None of this is possible without you. I hope you know how much we appreciate you and how hard we try to meet the moment every day with the platform you’ve helped us build. Let’s keep growing together and let’s keep fighting back.

Thank you Ben for breaking this down for all of us and highlighting things legacy media is too scared to. Good on Harvard for doing what Columbia wouldn’t and standing up to the regime.
It’s “We the People” not we democrats and republicans!!!! We the People must stand together to fight for democracy, decency, and fairness for ALL Americans 💙
