I think when they’re challenged, Walz does a much better job staying cool and responding logically, with facts. When Vance was challenged by Dana Bash about his lies regarding Haitian immigrants, he became petulant, whiny, condescending, and lost track of what he was saying. I think he pretended not to hear her for a second when she pointed out that he said he created the story, and he did that during another interview that got uncomfortable for him, too (pretended he couldn’t hear the interviewer). Walz has been through so many stressful situations and dealt with bullies as a teacher and a congressman and governor - I am, as Robert Reich says, nauseously optimistic
