I think what is going on with Jimmy Kimmel has nothing to do with his comment on Charlie Kirk. As I listened and read Jimmy Kimmel's comments, as they directly relate to Charlie Kirk, I didn't see nor hear anything that would justify Kimmel losing his show. I feel it has more to do with the big mirror Kimmel held up so EVERYONE got to see the man in the mirror as he bragged about his latest construction project. Needless to say, he didn't like what he saw and unfortunately Jimmie paid the price. This was an opportunity to get rid of someone who mocks Trump daily and someone who has been targeted and threatened by Trump to have him and others fired. I think if we stop talking about Charlie Kirk, that would remove him from the equation as a way to continue to divide this country.

What’s next ? The local tv news hosts who doesn’t fawn over a Presidential visit? A newspaper journalist who reports on bad job numbers? A comedian in a comedy club who tells a couch joke about Just Dance Vance?

This regime is while incompetent at times and with a frail old man at the top, can still do scary stuff.

The media stations need to fight back against this regime. I read an article where he is now going after The View next. It is time for these media outlets to fight back; otherwise, all media outlets will be given scripts authorized by this administration on what they can and can't say. The media may end up like his administration's round table, where each person must take their turn praising the President. It's quite sickening.

1960”s the govt pressured TV (CBS I think) to take off the Smothers Brothers. The were musically talented, had good guests, and were wickedly funny as they mocked the government and its war in Vietnam . Everyone knew why their show ended. The protests only got larger and the people grew weary of government lies and deception . Our force pushed out two successive Presidents. That is how it is done . So we have that moxey now? We better. Entertainers were silenced some, people were brutally beat, a few were killed especially if they were in the Black Panthers . You year for those better days . Well we had those better days because we stood up when the government forgot who they served and began serving themselves . We are a bit behind this time so we must really double down on push, boycott like the civil rights days and protests as big and often as Vietnam - but non violent. If you are on this feed and want our country back then you MUST actively participate in No Kings protests Oct 18.

Trump should be in a closed hospital for demented people. His jails are like the jail Azkaban in the books, and there prisoners are watched by Dementors, in the service of Lord Woldemort. Ask your nearest Librarian if the books are available! If not they are available on-line!

Now called?? Syndrome after the scientist who it has been named after.

I have known for 60years, but didn't have a name.

It has now been named. My mother told me when she was in her 70s. Her grandmother was equivalent to a District nurse at the end of 1800s n 2 decades into 20th century.

That's when they will come for substack, and surely they are coming. I expect they will find ways to harass both those with many followers AND the followers. They may target your friends or family and not directly you. I also think they will move way past mortgage fraud. So far the judiciary has mostly held firm, so expect intimidation tactics againt judges, their children and grandchildren.

More likely some emergency will be declared with new rules restricting speech during an emergency. The game will largely be decided before the midterms which themselves will be compromised in some places.

If you go to the 1971 Lewis Powell Memo you will see a much different view of how big business thinks about politics and destroying their opposition.

The Democrats are very shortsighted. On the other hand the Republicans are extremely methodical and plan decades in advance. There is no way we can win if we don’t change our way of thinking. I’m once again going to post the Powell document along with a podcast that goes into great detail on Corporate America’s Master Plan which lays out how we have been undermined by those who have actively and effectively destroyed our system of government.
