Is the MTN aware that their Substack comments section has been almost hijacked by these "used to think...brain fog" crap for a half a year almost?? I'm exhausted of reporting them yet nothing changes about it.
I, too, have found this "brain fog" all over various substacks and also have gotten tired of reporting it. I think most people, myself included at this point, just ignore it and read on.
Useless. They always come up with new accounts. And it's not that I personally don't want to see this, I don't want to have a comment section that is full of SPAM, regardless of whether it's me or anyone else who sees it. Reporting spam is "community organizing" ;-).
Also, I never block anyone. We need a real, open debate more than ever before, these days. But an ad to sell products is and remains SPAM.
I think it's important to Report the spam each time it arises - helps train the Substack bot to recognize it. Click on three dots to the right and then Report as spam.
Trump is the leader of the most powerful nation in the world and could use the carrot and stick approach to negotiate with nations. Primarily I think multilateral deals would be best, as a single deal is painstakingly hard to do. We are better off doing with multiple allies to strengthen our alliances.
And thank you Ben for covering everything that CBS ABC and NBC refuse to do. They cover this for a few minutes and not in depth at all. And they don’t show the bat shit crazy stuff Trump says, they water it down. The rest of the world is laughing at us for real now because of this idiot. Stay strong Meidas Mighty.
I do catch Rachel most of the time, but usually ready for bed when Lawrence is on and catch some of the clips on YouTube the next day. I will miss her show when she goes back to 1 day a week.
I have YouTube TV so these shows are recorded daily and I can watch any time, then fast forward through the ads, which is half the show! Thus, can watch both in 1 hr. There are many options for these technologies.
Rachel and Lawrence are great, as is The MeidasTouch. But I think it’s a bit of a stretch saying that corporate media isn’t covering the economy. I’ve been reading quite a bit about what’s happening with the trump economy in both the NYT and WSJ.
But how many ordinary, local diner-type citizens read the NYT or WSJ? They get their "news" elsewhere, through the very media that aren't covering this adequately, if at all.
Last summer, when it truly mattered, you only found the most relevant facts about the economy systematically in... the op-ed section. In the meantime, the newsroom posted "objective" articles that prioritized POLLS ABOUT the economy instead of facts, and then wrote clickbait headlines about those polls, without mentioning that this was people's (false) PERCEPTION of the economy.
Only today are they finally waking up and writing about it a little more. Still, the NYT censors its journalists and pundits so much that Paul Krugman had to leave and start his own Substack...
The legacy media bears a huge part of the responsibility for the shit show we're now experiencing! They completely normalized dump and made probably the most successful POTUS in my rather long lifetime look like a dottering fool and do nothing. I'm glad that the media is FINALLY waking up, but how much and for how long? They bowed down and kissed the ring (and ass). It's only so long before dump tries to shut them up, and down
They follow the money simple as that! You could start a satanic party and it would get more attention than anyone with a story of good, truth or humanity.☮💙
Exactly! And then there was the horrible AGEISM. The only thing that interested them was Biden's age, which they used to constantly suggest that he may have reduced cognitive abilities, whereas on the one hand, he had PHYSICAL disabilities (spinal arthritis and his speech impairment was back, in part), and on the other hand, his entire record proved that he was VERY capable of truly governing as an intelligent, hard-working president with a moral spine of steel.
And unfortunately, quite some progressives are now into ageism too... imagining that all the highly experienced, older Reps and Senators and leaders (whose experience we VITALLY need in times like these) would somehow be no longer needed, only because of their age...
The ageism was even more ridiculous because dump is only 4 years younger and absolutely has and had mental decline. He was never able to speak or write a complete sentence even as a younger man. Now, he's ceded his presidency to Musk the Nazi so that they can make big bucks from our tax dollars! Donnie is off playing golf! Remember when he trashed Obama for a couple of golf games.
Well, I'm a boomer myself. I haven't been physically protesting because I'm disabled and am not ready to put my body on the front lines....yet. But I will if I have to. Friends who have gone to protests have reported the same. The thing is, our generation is on our way out. If younger folks don't wake up and give a damn, they won't have anything left. Honestly, that's on them. My daughter is not having children. I don't have to protect a legacy. I'll find ways to fight however I can. But younger folks will get what they deserve. And it looks like it will not be pretty
Too bad VP Vance visited the Pope. In one shot you could see the Pope's eyes bulging out of his head while Vance was talking to him. They should have checked his blood pressure after. Poor old guy died from a stroke.
I don't see much of O'Donnel but I do watch Maddow clips on youtube and I think she is great. Humor is different for everyone....things I find humorous others don't and vice versa but I love her sense of humor. I still smile at her comments regarding the Sec of Dept of Ed and A One. Now I think there are lots of younger viewers who may not have ever used A One but it was a staple in my house growing up...one of those products imitations never matched.
A.1. Sauce is a brand of brown sauce produced by Brand & co, a subsidiary of Premier Foods in the United Kingdom and in North America by Kraft Heinz. We would be better off without tRump. We are no longer the most powerfu nation in the world. We were until tRump came along and ruined it for everyone. Not just here, but world-wide.
@ Judy Cross -- He's an idiot. He's mentally ill. He is perverse. He is profane. We can't blame Trump for being stupid. We [can] blame the suck-ups who wore diapers to his rallies and laughed at his nonsensical jokes and name-calling.
We as a nation had an opportunity to stop him following JAN6. We didn't, so we "have the government we deserve." He is a dunce. He is an illiterate with an IQ of 2. Nope, don't blame him. Blame the bigots who thought he was going to be the new "Great White Hope."
trump supporters come in two categories ONLY. 1. Stupid/ignorant 2. Greedy. A lot fall into both. In stupid/ignorant we have all the racists, bigots, misogynists, and some really scary evangelicals. I'm not religious but doesn't it say in the Bible that "the meek shall inherit the earth." I'm convinced they don't read anything including the Bible.
My last ever visit to America will have been to the Florida time share that my family has sold. My travelling will require a flight anywhere other than the USA......Being detained and sleeping on a cement floor.....strip searched.....and humiliated is not my idea of a vacation. Looking forward to spending my remaining years discovering my "home and native land".
Can’t even sugarcoat it that visiting here is good idea or going international and coming back is a good idea. They have plundered our good name and reputation in short order. Florida tourism is dead, because Canadians are going elsewhere. And who can blame them when our own citizens are being detained.
Good luck with Texas. Greg Abbot is not going to help. But my Governor, Kathy Hochul is fighting against Trump on numerous issues including congestion pricing. If you travel into lower Manhattan you pay a toll and the money is to go to our transit system. The Biden administration approved it and a judge gave it the ok. The Trump regime with Road Rules challenge contestant Sean Duffy are trying to force them to get rid of it and she is ignoring them. They keep pushing back the cease and desist date. Hoping to keep this area blue, but it is getting too close for comfort in the numbers the last few elections.
The last opposition are the big states now: Texas, California, New York, Washington... They are strong enough, if they build an alliance against the dictator.
Not anymore and that is not what his goal is. His primary goal is to get vengeance on everybody he thought might have ever harmed him. That makes him very dangerous because he does not care about the outcome.
Quoting James Wilson "Trump is the leader of the most powerful nation in the world and could use the carrot and stick approach to negotiate with nations. Primarily I think multilateral deals would be best, as a single deal is painstakingly hard to do. We are better off doing with multiple allies to strengthen our alliances." (unquote)
- you still haven't really processed what evil tRumputin is?? If you did, you wouldn't have given him benefits of doubt as you still seem to do.....
Trust I am entirely anti-Trump and give him no benefit of the doubt whatsoever. Voted against him all 3 times, donated to every Democratic nominee since 2000, and an avid viewer of MTN. If at any point I misspoke and sounded like someone who liked or condoned Trump or thought he could be trusted to the right thing I sincerely apologize. I want him and his regime sent to El Salvador for crimes against humanity and destruction of America’s values and good name.
Agreed Angelo, there will be trade imbalances with many countries. Nothing will change that simple fact when my country has one of the highest populations. We will need more products, simple fact. I’m a free trade advocate with our allies especially the two countries that we are next to. Their strength is our strength and a shared responsibility for everything.
Not to mention we have a deficit with every country we trade with because we can't get enough of anything in the USA, whether we can afford it or not. It's Drumphs gameplay get credit, max it out and stiff the lenders. Maybe hes trying to clean the slate to start his own personal greatest fall ever??
I am telling everyone anout your news network I love it my hubby and i watch your network instead of MSNBC since Mika & Joe went to kiss his ring I don’t believe a word any more I felt lost last November I found you on You tube and was relieved there was an organization that told the truth I am amazed at the lack of news coverage of 50 -50 1 Thank you so much
George Carlin once likened humankind to fleas on a dogs back. The Earth, which has an enormous propensity for self-preservation, could shake us off like so much chafe in the wind.
The same ailments that caused past "great empires" to fall will affect the USA. That's because mankind succumbs to the lust for power, greed, and perversion.
I hate to sound selfish but I think I’m representative of millions of retired Americans that have worked hard, saved hard and retired thinking they could sit back and enjoy their remaining years. Along comes a guy with a kindergarten understanding of global economics, puts a policy in place that decimates retirement accounts across the board, drives the value of the $ down, increases inflation and uncertainty for businesses big and small. This hurts all Americans not just retirees and yet our republican congress will not act to control this irresponsible maniac. If you are not emailing and calling your elected representatives START NOW!
I am a daily thorn in the side of my representative, who’s sadly ruby red like our senators. Our household is the same and you are not selfish in the least. We worked hard for our retirement and to see it intentionally destroyed by a megalomaniac is more than distressing.
Not just Americans, all of us who have saved for pensions that are inevitably invested in stock markets around the world. My husband is 80 today, he doesn't deserve this anxiety.
Huge town hall in Bridgewater, NJ. on Monday night. Ro Khanna showed up because our congressman Tom Kean Jr. was missing in action. He was great. It was a packed room.
Well done, MTN. We've needed your voice to know the truth. I hate having the wool pulled over my eyes. I appreciate the entire team. Thank you for respecting your viewers.
I love this network, but want to point out that MSNBC is not justJoe & Mika. Lots of coverage there on protests, interviews with attorneys, stories of people hurt by what Trump admin is doing to our govt. Might be wise to tune in regularly to several sources. None can cover fully everything going on.
I totally agree. And, it was recently reported that there is more "right wing" media than "truth/fact" media. Well, that is our challenge. It doesn't cost money to support other independent media, even if they ask. So, you can put your support around a variety of media to up the anti, to allow truth/facts to scream louder than lies and propaganda.
I do pay for Ground.news as it fact checks the sources so I can report on my own substack every day. I do pay for this substack as I support Meidas Touch. But everyone else and everything else I support I just subscribe to and get their basic stuff or their comments or their newsletters. It still shows the support. More and more people need to start up independent media to reach more and more people, even if we were all saying the same things, which we are not, support them anyway because audiences overlap, but do not all subscribe to the same media. To the present company infesting the WH, numbers mean everything!
Check out other Independent Media including Brian Tyler Cohen, Glenn Kirschner, Jim Acosta, Christopher Titus, Cliff Cash, Farron Cousins, Jimmy Kimmel, Heather Cox Richardson, Robert Reich, The Contrarian, Laurence O'Donnell, Jasmine Crockett, Pete Buttigieg and more. My personal faves on Meidas Touch also include Tennessee Brando, Adam Mockler, Frances Maxwell, and CoachD_Speaks, as well as Ben, Brett & Jordy. I also support Jon Stewarts Weekly podcast and some others as well as post my own substack of truth/facts!
National Security and Social Security are bipartisan.
This is what we can and must win for all our lives. Fire Hegseth and Tulsi.
BTW. Regarding social security, the messaging ought to ask young people what they will do if their parents lose the income they rely on. How will they take care of them. It isn’t an issue that only effects seniors.
I have been following your messages for a while, I have always enjoyed the info and insight. I want to compliment the hard work and great insights. The only comment I would add to the above is that Trump DID have a plan laid out for him: Project 2025. And it is being followed no matter how chaotically it’s being employed. He’s embellished it with his whimsy, hate and evil. This is the only reason I see for the R’s letting him proceed, giving him a pass on every hateful, ill-informed and swaggering BS he comes with. I envision the authors of that document biding their time waiting to get rid of him after he’s served their purposes. Even the SCOTUS has paved the way for him to continue when any other POTUS would have been in jail by now.
But, by my lights, he is getting so horrible, so carried away, that even some conservatives behind Project 2025 cannot abide him. Their “tool” is becoming a larger problem than the liberalism they despise.
After I read your comment to mine, I looked up this one. Well said! I didn’t see this before I posted mine but see we’re saying similar things. I appreciate Meidas, but believe they are a bit naive and too positive. Or maybe I am too negative, but I think we’re already a dictatorship and am not sure we can recover.
However, I will keep resisting as I can. I contribute financially as I can, attend rallies, bring others, stay informed, write postcards, make phone calls, volunteer with local Dems and Indivisible. Am 89 years old with physical limitations.
If we were truly under a dictatorship, do you believe we would be able to talk on this forum? Do you believe that this forum would exist?
Just because we are under attack does not mean that we are under the attacker's rule. We are not. You said you resist all you can. Well under a dictatorship you would not be able to do that and you would be arrested if you did.
Hang on to the fact that we are still under a Democracy under attack because we can still fight today! We are still "FREE" today. We still have the Constitution on our side today, regardless of what the enemy is doing in their camp. Their camp may be out there for all to see, and their battle plan published on the Internet, but that is in our favor. We are still free today and today we can still fight back. That's not an option in a dictatorship.
I agree with your assessment above, BTW. Well-intentioned. A bit naive.
I don’t believe we are “already there” yet on the fascism, but dangerously close. As much as I detest the Conservative agenda, I don’t think they are ready for a full-on Fascism. I do think they are naive about their own goals and how perilous they are. Maybe I give them too much credit.
On my most optimistic days, I’m heartened by SCOTUS losing their infatuation with Trump (all but 2). I wait for a serious crackdown from them, hopefully soon. I do think the deporting of hostages may tip the scales when people realize that could be done to any of us, as well.
Like you, I’m ‘up there’ in age (80) and I'm on SS only. I attended protests and use my keyboard to state my positions. And sadly I revel in the thought that we have seen the best days America has ever afforded us.
Sometimes it is not the best thing to rub the lamp and awaken the genie. Once out of the bottle, getting an evil one to go back in may prove to be too much.
Thank you mighty Meidas for defending democracy. You are #1 because you have the courage to tell the truth against the fascists. I wrote a poem as tribute to your work: https://democracydefender2025.substack.com/p/meidas-touch-poem
I think they DO have a plan and it's known as Project 2025. We should ignore it at our peril.
Definitely! Project 2025 makes my blood run cold.
Absolutely Trish!

I’m so sick of arrogant, non stop talker Morning Joe. I never watch.
I haven’t watched Joe and Mika for a long while now. I count on the MeidasTouch for all my news!
Ditto.
Mika looks and sounds like she is doing Meth....probably the Orange Kool-Aid was spiked down at Mar-a-Lardo.
Oh i am sorry i stop what i am doing to watch her Rachel and Lawrence but that is it it was very hard giving up Joe and Mika
I wouldn't waste a dollars worth of elctricity to watch Joe and Mika any longer either.
Thank you sincerely for all you are doing.
Today is Earth Day. I haven't seen much coverage about it. We need to remember that above all else, it's climate change that will ruin us.
Thanks!
And trump is throwing Mother Earth under the bus when she needs help the most.
She's rumbling and ready to blow!
Mankind is in a race to extinction. Which will get us first? Climate change or political chaos?
George Carlin once likened humankind to fleas on a dogs back. The Earth, which has an enormous propensity for self-preservation, could shake us off like so much chafe in the wind.
The same ailments that caused past "great empires" to fall will affect the USA. That's because mankind succumbs to the lust for power, greed, and perversion.
Exactly they want to destroy everything the news media are sick like him and his regime
We can only hope they will be voted out in the midterms.
Not just Americans, all of us who have saved for pensions that are inevitably invested in stock markets around the world. My husband is 80 today, he doesn't deserve this anxiety.
Thank you guys for being at the ready everyday for us to follow your example.
Huge town hall in Bridgewater, NJ. on Monday night. Ro Khanna showed up because our congressman Tom Kean Jr. was missing in action. He was great. It was a packed room.
Democrats are doing there job
Well done, MTN. We've needed your voice to know the truth. I hate having the wool pulled over my eyes. I appreciate the entire team. Thank you for respecting your viewers.
Lord deliver us from this orange Evil.
Amen!!
Truly grateful for Meidas. Thank you guys so much.
Thank you MTN! Appreciate all the hard work you are doing. 👍
One of your best posts ever. We need to keep shaming MSM!! Also, calling out the fake bully in the white house!

Put the pressure on Security.
Make America and Americans Secure.
Just a thought...
Thanks for your insightful comment.
Naive and positive??? You’re kidding?
I don’t mind their positivity, we need that encouragement. But I do think all the positivity of Kamala worked against her.
Sometimes it is not the best thing to rub the lamp and awaken the genie. Once out of the bottle, getting an evil one to go back in may prove to be too much.
