I hope that all readers here will take a moment to contact their Senators and Representatives via a phone call or email to let them know that we expect leadership and want to hear their voices. They need an avalanche of communication from their districts….and they really need it now.

And to celebrate MLK holiday instead of giving attention to the inauguration of a fascist, the very opposite of King.

I learned the hard way - they don’t care about our emails, letters and calls in “safe” districts. My rep is an old coward just like so many of them. He thinks it’s the 1990’d still.

Good morning fellow Meidas mighty- same here. Even though I live in SoCal, my rep is a Repugnant who votes party line most of the time. Keeps getting elected because we have a redneck area and low information voter turnout ( and this area

Sorry I cut my sentence off. My area has a strong white supremacy history and motorcycle gang hangouts so very hard to flip blue. I’ve emailed my rep in the past during early Biden term urging him to pass the PACT act and other legislation but I would get politely worded republican messaging and tuned out on his BS. Too many who vote R have still not figured out the billionaire take over of the Republican Party is complete and anyone who is less than a member of that billionaire boys club is useless to them in power now. But I feel these R voters are still to far down the Faux noise propaganda rabbit hole to realize their idiotic choices.

Kathy, Regarding the denseness of Trump voters, your comment reminds me of the old saying attributed to King Solomon in Proverbs 16:18 which states, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Wait for it…

My representative is Hawley, the seditionist who gave the rioters a thumbs up on 1/6. Waste of my time and electrons to try to talk to him. He's a perfect example of the people in his district.

My rep is Jimmy Panetta and even after calling him several times and talking to his staff about the non profit policy, he still voted Yes to give Trump authorization to defund them and yank their non profit status. He was one of 15 Dems to vote Yes. He claims guardrails will be in place. I said... Right, because the immunity SCOTUS gave him will stop him 🤦

There goes ACLU, NOAA, PBS, NPR, Planned Parenthood, etc. Any one of these top non profits could be impacted

Thanks Jimmy 👍

All the more reason to write him, and maybe to get involved with your state Party to figure out who primaries the guy who pays no attention to you. Maybe include a reference to that in your email or call. Right now is not the time to let these folks whom we elected get away with ignoring the voters who put them in office.

Hi, I know that I need to get more involved but as I am a senior, I am limited sometimes due to health concerns so I mostly donate to a few select organizations when I can afford it like VoteVets, Emily’s List , Indivisible and ActBlue. I email back to my rep my concerns and the only good comment I can make about him is he seems to be pro veteran but we will see when the incoming administration starts targeting veterans for “cost”cutting . I read voraciously and subscribe to alternative sites that are crucial for my sanity (alternative to the propaganda and sane washing MSM) like MTN. But I will never surrender to this incoming maladministration.
