As always, everything they are doing reeks of desperation. They know the tide is turning, slowly but surely. Perhaps not so slowly anymore! An avalanche might be a more apt analogy, and hopefully it crushes them all at the bottom like the bugs they are.

Jack, So true. I’ve always heard the saying, They yell loudest before they fall. The entire world is against the MAGAs and Putin lovers.

Nick, the media is an extremely dangerous and complicit part of the boldness of Fascism. Not giving criminals like trump appropriate punishments has also been destructive & irresponsible.

And will We.The.People have learned from this ? That the thing called HATE is still the lesson that was offered as the only salvation ..that love and caring for .. is a way …not traveled often enough, not sustained, not seen through to our own end? Again?

An applause sought after as the claimer passed by the last breath of even ..hope? For what has a person gained if their soul is lost….

We have enough money to fix any problem…period….but all that counts is more dollars?more control?

Equality for all…what 8 letters so adequately starts the three words that scares the worst of leaders of any time frame IS….

They’re certainly arrogant enough to assume they can, especially now that they think mother Russia and Kim Jong-un are on their side. What strange bedfellows!

Wow, I wasn’t expecting this comment to take off like this! The level of engagement really shows how much people are thinking about this issue and the degree to which it resonates.

I’ve actually been working on a piece about how political harassment has evolved into a full-blown intimidation strategy, and I’m planning to post it soon. If you’re interested, check out my profile and subscribe—it’s free! Would love to keep this conversation going beyond just the comments.

Thanks so much! I truly appreciate it. I’m also really eager to hear topic suggestions from people, especially after they get a feel of my writing style. I will cover and write on topics that are relevant and of interest to myself and the community at large, but there are so many to choose from, especially in this day and age where things change in a matter of seconds 😅

Hey Jack,

I don't know if this is on point, but it seems related:

The Cybertruck has been a product quality nightmare since its introduction, but a brand loyalty dream come true.

Regardless of all the recalls or safety problems or other aspects of poor design & construction (including Tesla's "self-driving" technology that can't tell the difference between a painting of a road and a real road), people seem to just want it.

It doesn't seem to be a rational thing, but entirely emotional.

Maybe they want to show how much money they can waste on such an expensive piece of junk.

Maybe they want to intimidate other drivers who don't want to be hit by huge swaths of steel plate flying off into highway traffic.

Maybe they want to imagine themselves as starring in some post-apocalyptic action movie.

Maybe they want to overcome some unacknowledged personal insecurities. (Of course, this has always been a huge motivation for lots of people to buy lots of things.)

And these days, it seems that MAGA-heads love this thing simply because everyone else hates it -- though the only way many of them could afford it is if they pooled their rapidly dwindling resources to buy one as a group.

WDYT?

Hey Maxgal. I really appreciate the thoughtful take! You bring up some interesting points, and I definitely want to give this a proper response. It’s super late on my end, but I’ll be diving into this in the morning—looking forward to discussing!

The thinking that has acted like a virus from 'Andromeda Strain' was subtly nourished for years

with the loudness of 'talk radio' and anything associated with it. At the end of a work day that includes several hours of that in the background, a person's own inner thought train becomes molded by repetition, and more moldy than a nine-month tuna casserole in the back of the fridge.

A deep-cleaning is all that can help someone who really can no longer think with simple sanity.

Hi 247kath ... I recognize this troll from various other threads, on Substack & YouTube. From my (very limited) knowledge of how Substack & YouTube work, the only effective thing to do with trolls is to ignore them; responding "supports" them through whatever the algorithm does to highlight user posts. (Hope this Luddite-style comment makes sense.) 💙

WE NEED ESCORTS T0 PROTECT FEDERAL JUDGES!!

Now that doge has its own armed brown shirts, breaking into buildings to shut down agencies, I think the next place we have to look in terms of protecting members of the resistance, is to support federal judges, and escort them to and from their court rooms. I’ve worked with human rights defenders from Pakistan, India and Iran and I know that the assault on judges is probably what comes next. The problem is I do not have enough money to subscribe to the people who need to hear this because I am just a little person a human rights defender now struggling with health issues. Please pass this on to anyone you think might be of help in organizing These small units of people prepared to defend our judges so that we can continue to strengthen the law of this country, which seems to be the only thing working against this takeover in progress thank you very much. My name is Carole Fontaine. I am a American member of the NCRI the national council of resistance in Iran and I work with women organizers there the person you wanna talk to is Soona; these folks have offices in Arlington and Washington DC, and we have provided back up for many kinds of protest in Europe and elsewhere. We have also given information sessions at the house of representative at etc.. These are the people I would think of if I wanted to field a group willing to engage in protection of absolutely critical people for bringing about a change to democracy. Thanks for listening.
