How would focusing on religion have prevented the rise of Trump and all his sycophants. I don't even know what all of them identify with when it comes to religion. Why is religion being brought up at all? Of course, we must question and analyze candidates. That is a foregone conclusion. What I see is focus on religion triggered by a wholly qualified candidate's name. it seems if the candidates skin color or name arouses what I believe to be unfounded suspicion then it is okay to focus on his religion not his record and contributions as a human being to date. My goodness Trump is a convicted felon and if his name was Abdullah his tenure as POTUS would cause prejudice against people of Arab descent. However, Trump the evilest person in the world tying for Putin will leave this role and what he has done to us will never taint or infringe or cause suspicion if another white male with an Anglo Saxon "American" name comes forward.
