What I have found is that when Trump doubled down on taking CBS's license away after the story on Greenland and one other, Share Redstone decided she needed to have more transparency into 60 minutes. She put an editor over Bill Owens to oversee the stories, especially those that might cause further issues with Trump and the pending lawsuit that she had been fighting off since he filed it.
Bill Owens, who has had pretty much full autonomy to run 60 minutes, found the extra layer of editorializing offensive and cumbersome, from what I can see, and felt he could no longer do his job. I get that. I see that being the case. When the boss comes out of their ivory tower and starts micro managing, good people leave.
But, I haven't found anything to prove that Shari Redstone has caved to Trump - at least not yet, and all other media points that she has been fighting Trump over all this while trying to sell out to David Ellison, a Democrat and Biden Supporter. (Yes, his dad is Larry Ellison, but I guess he and his son do not agree on politics).
What would you do now if you were Shari, your company has this 20 Billion dollar frivolous lawsuit against it that would probably fail in the long run - but will be dragged out for years with Trump hoping he can wear you down, a merger in the works that the lawsuit is a black cloud over, and you wanted out after months of fighting about all of it? What is the "right" thing for her to do and what you do if you were her?
I watched one of the MeidasTouch episodes where I believe they mentioned that Bill had resigned from 60 Minutes and CBS. It was a couple of days ago. I also read something about it when I was on my regular pc. Still not gonna watch them and still glad I canceled Paramont.

I'm curious.
