When legacy media bends to pressure,

we don’t crumble—

we build.

CBS can play polite.

But truth doesn’t wait for permission.

And platforms like Meidas?

They don’t ask for the mic—

they take it,

with facts, fire, and fearless receipts.

This isn’t the end of journalism.

It’s its resurrection.

In real time.

By people who still believe

the First Amendment means something.

So let them walk.

We’re still here.

Louder. Sharper. Unbought.

What will you say, now that the echo chamber cracked open?

Still becoming, with you ♾️

Look at my forum icon, do you see the little + sign on the bottom right? That + sign indicates a paid subscriber. Scroll the comments look at the icons, look and see how many of us have that little + sign on our forum icon. A LOT of us.

A paid subscription to Meidas Touch is only $10 a month (cancel at any time).

Your, and my, and everybody else's $10 month is the wind beneath MTN wings.

If you can, please become a paid subscriber and send them a little puff of air, which when joined with all the other little puffs of air from all the other subscribers, becomes a mighty jet stream, the wind beneath their wings lifting them, soaring higher and higher, gaining more and more influence and visibility.

Become a paid subscriber, only $10 a month (cancel at any time) and become the wind beneath MTN's wings. If you do, you will feel good about it.

Most polling is BS. If you ask people whether they support a Russian takeover, I bet it's 5% or less.

Expand full comment
Schmendryck's avatar

As has been the case, it really depends on who the pollster is, because increasingly it is obvious that the polls are showing truth to be inescapable even as the LIEs of "free eggs!" & "everything is better!" & " they're all paid protesters!" continue, the polls are showing that the people of this country are NOT happy with the direction we are being dragged. Expect the bread & circuses to increase geometrically.

Expand full comment

Most people lie. -- validity studies, i.e. the k scale on the MMPI, lie detectors, etc -- show that people respond to what they think the pollster wants them to say.

IMHO if placed under oath, the outcome would be more valid.

I am confused. If CBS is merging with a left wing media, at least it is owned by David Ellison, a democrat supporter, then why are we so mad?

Expand full comment
Concerned Citizen's avatar

Because they’re bending the knee to Trump based on the 60 minutes interview, they did with Kamala Harris before the election. Trump was pissed off because one had showed her saying one thing and then another ad shoulder saying something different. It’s called editorial freedom and he is suing them because of that. They gave in and the lead person on 60 minutes has walked out, resigned, because he does not agree with CBS’s stance.

Expand full comment
Bluesmurf's avatar

Who are the "they?" you are referring to? As of today, no offer of a settlement has been made that I can find. Do you have a link on that?

What I have found is that when Trump doubled down on taking CBS's license away after the story on Greenland and one other, Share Redstone decided she needed to have more transparency into 60 minutes. She put an editor over Bill Owens to oversee the stories, especially those that might cause further issues with Trump and the pending lawsuit that she had been fighting off since he filed it.

Bill Owens, who has had pretty much full autonomy to run 60 minutes, found the extra layer of editorializing offensive and cumbersome, from what I can see, and felt he could no longer do his job. I get that. I see that being the case. When the boss comes out of their ivory tower and starts micro managing, good people leave.

https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/60-minutes-staffers-warn-shari-redstone-bill-owens-exit-1236375935/

But, I haven't found anything to prove that Shari Redstone has caved to Trump - at least not yet, and all other media points that she has been fighting Trump over all this while trying to sell out to David Ellison, a Democrat and Biden Supporter. (Yes, his dad is Larry Ellison, but I guess he and his son do not agree on politics).

What would you do now if you were Shari, your company has this 20 Billion dollar frivolous lawsuit against it that would probably fail in the long run - but will be dragged out for years with Trump hoping he can wear you down, a merger in the works that the lawsuit is a black cloud over, and you wanted out after months of fighting about all of it? What is the "right" thing for her to do and what you do if you were her?

I'm curious.
