Trump and Musk are 2 of a kind…2 thugs looking for free money. Fort Knox visit is like 2 insane toddlers

Trump shouldn't be within a sneeze's distance of anything precious--gold or otherwise. If he does get to "inspect" the gold he's likely going to demand a gold brick for his "personal collection as POTUS." SOB should never have gotten another chance to sink the country. Never.

I'm all for their Fort Knox visit. Just make sure the vault door locks behind them. 100 hours without the two of them would be delightful (for a start).

You’re right. Trump has been talking about establishing a national sovereign wealth fund, something that generally a nation with a $36 trillion national debt (which is what ours is, last I checked), would not be thinking of establishing until they had gotten that debt WAAAY down. Now, there’s also been Mump (my word for the MuskTrump action duo) talk of funding this national sovereign wealth fund by using our nation’s gold stores to purchase cryptocurrency (a.k.a. vaporware, perhaps because an EMP, whether nuclear (my guess is Putin would be happy to do Trump that favor for some quid pro quo) or solar, knocking out our Internet, could “vaporize” the contents of peoples’ crypto wallets) —so I can’t help thinking somewhere betwixt the cup and the lip there could be some sort of slip which someone more knowledgeable than I should pick up the ball on these various factoids to hypothesize.
