He's a convicted felon. Why does he have your vote? Hating on Trump isn't enough. He's not going to suck me in. Jesus, people. He seems opportunistic.

Well Michael if you run I would be one of your constituents as I live in the 12th district under Nadler right between you and Rudy's old apt. Good luck neighbor.

He knows his stuff, he's more than made up for things, he knows Trump's thinking having worked with him for years. He'd have my vote, too. It's not about hate, it's about righting the ship.

Yes, it’s not about hate but let’s give it time and see what he says and does that would make anyone want to vote for him

To me, it’s not just having a felony, it’s the circumstances and the rehabilitation. Cohen got sucked into the Trump orbit (which I don’t understand, but others have pointed out as well). He skis finally said ‘no’ and has spent a lot of time and efforts to make amends. Trump’s felonies are not only worse, he has NO regrets and has not wished to be better. That makes a big difference to me.

Trump is a convicted felon and became President … why not Cohen? At least he went to prison, Trump didn’t .

Mr.Cohen may be a convicted felon, but he has paid his debt to society. I am fairly certain he has not forgotten that fact. At some point, it is simply bad manners to continue to remind the repentant of their transgressions.

Yes, he is a convicted felon. But he’s paid his debt to society and now deserves a second chance.

Also, one point re being opportunistic, due to his criminal record his options are severely limited eg he cannot work as a lawyer anymore. Yet, he still has a family to feed and bills to pay. He needs to make money somehow.

Hence he’s written books, makes podcasts and so on. If you don’t like it, don’t buy his books, don’t listen to his podcasts and …. If he runs, don’t vote for him, it’s a free choice.

True. The choice is pretty clear though. He got more time, for less, than any J 6er. And the majority in trumps orbit right now, are way worse

Ummmm nope.

He accepted responsibility and did his time. Came out and decided to take a good look at what was still happening and brought it to light. IMO he is afforded a second chance.

It seemed like a PR move for him even though they acted like they weren’t expecting him to list his history of credentials and launch into his plan to run for election. If Trump had pardoned him and patted his head with approval, he’d still be screwing the American people. That said, I would hope MAGA’s who see the light would never return to their corrupted mental states, but who knows?
