How so? Other than morally and ethically, Zelenskyy comes away with less than nothing, & it's disappointing because he began as an actor, & SHOULD know how to play to an audience, to say (or not say) what it took to puff up the feeble trumpf ego for the sake of his country. Instead we're about to see Russia steamroll both Ukraine & greater Europe to the cheers and erectile dysfunction of tronald dump.

If you think Zelenskyy could have come away with anything but a pathetic, desperate attempt by our Nazi govt. to embarrass and bully him into a bargain with the devil against his own people, you are not yet facing reality.

Zelenskyy came away with the support of what's left of NATO and the respect of the entire free world. Cap'n Bone Spurs and his idiot sidekicks blew up any remaining bridges with our allies and looked impotent, untrustworthy, dishonest, and ineffective, as they ARE.

I appreciate your cogent & fairly accurate analysis but I must disagree on one central & crucial point: our president & aspiring dictator is a pathetic & desperately ego-starved child-man in constant need of affirmation. Even with his bitch-boy Schvantz holding his soiled ass up supportively, he needs the stroking to maintain an illusion of non-flaccidity, metaphorically speaking. Zelenskyy has proven himself as a bold leader, but he is also experienced as a PERFORMER, he was as much a TV star as trump, albeit in different format, tho' he worked in comedy so that might have made him more suited for politics. My point was that as a performer, & given his nation's very existence is on the line, he could have prepped for this disastrous meeting by playing the obsequious suck-ass for the cameras. It would have made dumpster smile & the public face of a good meeting would have meant that much more difficulty from his own side & to protect his fragile public persona for trumpf to do the inevitable 180.

Did you ever consider what following your advice would do to the morale and support of Zelenskyy's people? He knows how to ACT like Rubio or any of the rest of the gutless wonders on display that day, but he has courage and chose not to for good reason. Have you been following what Europe is planning on doing to support him now? He is a hero to the free world because of his response to that disgraceful ambush in the Oval office.

Zelenskyy humiliated Cap'n Bone Spurs, not the other way around. If Zelenskyy had groveled before Cap'n BS he would have emboldened the bully and appeared weak. It's beyond clear that NumptyDumpty will do anything Putin wants him to do. The record is replete with fools who tried to stroke his pathetic need for attention and look where we are now because of it.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

Nobody said "grovel," we all know (Zelenskyy included) what venal & shitass intentions drumpf has, but the negotiations behind the scenes were what counted, & I'm just suggesting Z missed an opportunity to marshall across-the-aisle support from those reckless members of our congress & make it even more likely for drumpf to piss them off. As putin intended, & his orange lapdog facilitated, this path leads to potentially bankrupting the EU & making the world even more vulnerable to authoritarian takeover. We all know WW3 has already begun, & Ukraine is the 1st line of defense for the rest of the globe. That's all im talking about, sorry if you think I'm being petty.

I thought I had replied to your comment earlier, but it was posed as a comment instead:

This debate is going nowhere. We fundamentally disagree. I don't think you're seeing the bigger picture; whether you use the word "grovel" or not, you're arguing Zelenskyy should have stroked Numpty's ego in public in spite of being ambushed and treated with outrageous disrespect and lies. I call that grovelling.

There can be no doubt Zelenskyy was set up and ambushed in an attempt to humiliate and bully him into signing a deal that would only benefit his enemy (Putin) and Putin's mouthpiece, Cap'n Bone Spurs, who should have boned up on the book he didn't write -- Art of the Deal -- before sending Hegseth to the UN and Vance to Munich to give up all bargaining leverage IN PUBLIC before private negotiations even began.

Putin is on the rails now. He's been reduced to importing mercenaries and even N. Korean soldiers; his equipment was outdated to begin with, has been further decimated by Ukraine, and inflation in Russia is at 20%. Yet here's Cap'n BS telling the world he's ready to pull out of NATO and claiming Putin's invasions were Zelenskyy's fault, something he's been doing since Putin invaded in 2022.

King Orange has already played his cards, and the fool doesn't have a good hand, if he ever did. He's desperate to make a deal; he campaigned on a promise it would be easy for him to make peace within 24 hours of being elected. HE was humiliated on the world stage, not Zelenskyy, and Zelenskyy was able to put his argument before the American people with dignity and courage.

Marco Rubio is on record saying that Zelenskyy could have signed the deal and never even needed to come to the WH (which is what King Demented wanted). Zelenskyy said he would never sign the deal because it gave him no security from Putin. Now Europe is doing what we should have done: promising to defend Zelenskyy with all they have. Europe knows the risks to them if Putin is appeased the way Neville Chamberlain tried unsuccessfully to appease Hitler.

Youre responding defensively as though I disagree with you. I can only assume you are as off-putting in person as anyone else who simply cannot abide being denied having the last word. So go ahead.

You did disagree with me. And now you're making a personal attack on me because I responded.
