Israel has now murdered over 15 000 children, and thousands are now amputees.

And your defense for Israel is "you reap what you sow"....??

I hope every person who sat out the vote for Gaza feels like shit now. They counted on Dems to vote so they threw away their own to make a statement and make THEMSELVES feel better. When Trump was the alternative, the decision is selfish as hell.

Yes, agree. I support Palestine, and voted for Harris/Walz. Many of them are at it again, no politicians seem good enough. I guess they can afford Trump.?!

War sucks. That is why it is stupid to start one, just as it was stupid for Russia to invade Ukraine. Before withdrawing from Gaza in 2005, Israel built desalination plants, hospitals and schools in Gaza. Before Oct 7, 350,000 Gazans worked in Israel daily, making unimpeded trips across the border. I lived in a kibbutz that, at the time, was the last Israeli settlement before the border. We could not do the 5 minute walk to the Mediterranean to swim because kids had been shot doing so. We had to somehow go the 12 miles to Ashkelon where the IDF patrolled the beaches. We were not crossing into Gaza to randomly attack people there. Israeli Arabs were doing fine back then. There were Israeli Arabs all throughout the government, running businesses and sitting in the Knesset. From what I hear, all of that is gone now. I do not have an answer to this dilemma. I deeply regret the deaths in Gaza. However, as long as GazaтАЩs people elect a terrorist organization promising to extend Palestine from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean (all of Israel), I doubt there will be peace. BTW, I am neither Jewish nor Israeli. I am a Roman Catholic who, back in the early 70тАЩs, was studying Biblical history. I spent a year hitchhiking around Europe and a trip to Israel seemed logical.

Thanks for your story. Palestinians are not Hamas, and the last time they voted was in 2006, times were different then.

Recent polls show that 90% of Gazans support Hamas, an internationally recognized terrorist organization.

I think I have the same right you have to express opinions. I also think that if Hamas would release the remaining hostages, there would be a better chance of stopping this war. However, no matter what Hamas claims, there will never be a Palestine stretching from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean Sea. That is all of Israel. I still strongly believe that if you donтАЩt want a war, donтАЩt start one. You never answered my question about our response to Pearl Harbor. We certainly killed more civilians than Israel has, but, on the other hand, we saved a Hell of a lot of American soldiers.
