I feel your angst. I feel your pain for your beloved father.

While my family in France & Belgium are not Jewish. They Wére deeply impacted as young teens in WWI. Taken to Germany to work in factories of war. Thankfully the Geneva Convention “righted some war wrongs”.

I still lost my grandfather, in a street battle in Paris. He was a member of the French Underground. My grandmother & mother, continued to live under Nazi occupation. Until liberated by the Allied Forces. My dad was at DDay. A chubby guy from Boston who couldn’t swim.

Liberating Paris. Thus my mother.

So many stories of Jewish playmates disappearing at night too many.

Trump insults every Jewish survivor. And every veteran.

I’m grateful my parents are deceased. As I shudder to think what they’d be feeling watching the normalization of this madman & his republican cohorts. Traitors!!!!

My dad was in Europe when he was shot in the back and became a 100% disabled vet. He got hand controls on a car, one of the first in the US. My mother was a nurse in the VA hospital in Memphis at the end of WWII and that's where she met my father. The only thing that man could not do was get up and walk. He was a paraplegic so he had use of his upper body.He died in 1968 between my Jr and Sr year of high school. My mom died in 2018 and hated the orange hitler. I am sure both are rolling over in their graves with what is happening here now.

So many stories of bravery, & conviction. But my father only shared the funny stuff. Never the gruesome.

That was typical of the veterans from that era.

They can rest in peace, which is a blessing.

My father flew B-17s in the 8th Air Force over Europe fighting those monsters! Too many people who don't pay attention to history continue to vote of people like Trump! Glad my parents have passed too.
